Greetings! Let me introduce myself. In the underworld, they call me "Rosenmaurer."

I've always been aware of Warhammer, but I didn't truly dive into the hobby until 2024. As a Latin American, miniatures are quite expensive, so instead I buy and read the novels—especially those from the Horus Heresy series. I also enjoy Warhammer video games, and even though I don't own any miniatures yet, I'm familiar with the rules and the broader lore of the setting.

My favorite factions are the Adeptus Mechanicus and the T'au. Warhammer has also opened the door for me to explore other wargames, but 40K remains my favorite by far.

I hope to start building and painting miniatures soon; it looks like a very relaxing hobby. I often watch miniature painters and modelers on Twitter for inspiration.

I came to this forum looking for a place to discuss Warhammer, and I believe I've found the right one.

Hi there. Welcome.

You do seem to have "found the right one."
When you get your stuff built, get pics of them into the Gallery. We want to see what you are up to

There are thousands of forums dedicated to wargaming and Warhammer (not just in English), and I was looking for an active one. And yes, that's the idea: I'll be uploading my miniatures to the gallery. I should be buying some soon and getting started on painting them.

Welcome to DakkaDakka!!

Looking forward to seeing your posts. I remember when I was living out of the US/Europe, miniatures were very difficult to find and as you said even when I could find them, they were very expensive.

That’s right! They’re expensive! And sometimes it’s not just the price—it’s also hard to find the ones you want. Still, I’ve already decided which ones to start with, thanks to advice from a friend in Argentina.

Welcome! I've spent a lot of time in the rest of the world and I'd really recommend 3d printing as an option . Outside the US, Europe and Japan collecting and building is really hard

Thanks! It is hard, indeed.

Welcome onboard, Rosenmaurer!

And Davien felt a kick inside her, as though some organ she never knew she’d possessed was suddenly pumping. She looked into their faces, her own little congregation, and they were connected to her, souls speaking to her soul. My family, she knew. Blood of the angels.
