Im new here, as you can tell by my post tally.

This WIP Ork mob was originally intended as a gorkamorka gang, but it has evidently fizzled out of fassion. The fluff i had for it was the mob had a beer brewy (Squigberg Brewree) and had a german militeristic  feel, ie bucket helmets, stick grenades uniforms etc etc. thus german-ilkish names. Thus after ceomments. dont be too harsh on my paint job my paints are running thin. hence brown undercoats and 4 different skin green tones.

You can see obvious space marine lootings. Im not sure what armour they would count as. I was gonna come up with fluff suggesting that because there is no 'power' to the 'power armour'

I always say that if your going to be offensive you might as well do it in style. These fall slightly below that mark.

How exactly is this offensive? I don't see any swastikas adorning his models, they're not trampling on anyone's ancestors.

So he wrote SS on one of his orks. There's a Christian church I drive by on my way to work that has as sign about "SS bible school meetings"

I think everyone here needs to realize that dakka is only supposed to be stuck up about rules and proper ways to play the game. Not a bunch of whiny little jack asses when it comes to someone mentioning history.

It's not the case here, but you CAN go too far.  I saw a guy (if he can so be called) bring in an SS-themed army to a local hobby shop; one of the sentinels had "Arbeit Macht Frei" on it.

He didn't come back after that.

Well, I never intended to offend any demographic, so i apologise there.

I just had the idea of the german theme from another forum. (They did guard) I know the SS did bad stuff, but i wasn't aware that they were of a sensitive issue these days. But i have to admit im a little ignorant in that department. I only used SS blend in with the german theme. I actuallt tried to avoid sensitive issues.

That was a bit harsh I guess. A guy at my old flgs had a really well done German style ork army. I would just hesitate to put ss on them is all. We had a guy show up one time with a kkk painted mordheim band. As Iorek said, he didnt come around again either.

and SS is of course the acronym for the mob. i like the conversions btw.
