Has anyone ever modeled an Inquisitor armed with a Psycannon? If so, How did you do this?

I just dug up the most complicated looking bolter-esque weapon I could find out of the bitz range. I believe this came off a dark angels character:





Psycannons are just basically upgunned bolters anyway, according to the fluff. Some kind of recoil dampening mechanism and special consecrated ammunition. I imagine you could use the deathwatch bolters as well.

That is, in fact, the combi bolter os Azriel, if I remember correctly, I can't seem to locate my old Dark Angles Codex, but I know that that is the weapon of a Dark Angles Special Character. I do miss combi-weapons, the IG really should have them with their lasguns.

For my gaming purposes, nobody's ever given me a hard time about it being, in fact, a combi-bolter.

I took the grey knight with psycannon model, dremmeled out his head and replaced it with the helmetless cadian. Then I dremeled off all the Books and replaced them with =I= icons from the inquisitor range.

Yeah, i think i'm going to paint a scout/heavy bolter in inquistor henchman colors for now. I do like the combi-plasma though.

I used the head of the culexus assassin, attached it to a flying base and kept it next to my Inquisitor, ala the Eldar heavy weapon platform or ammorunt/oiler, etc. I just explained to my opponents that it wasn't a familiar or anything, but just represented the Inquisitor's Psycannon. It was pretty well received.

And an easy conversion to boot.

The Psycannon comes from the INQ range - the character with the shoulder mounted gun.

Yup but going on to something called the warmongerclub.com at work is a bad idea.

I dug around my bits and decided to use the stormbolter that came with the old vindicator. It looks sufficiently cartoonish, but then again he's also capable of using magic.

My INQ has an ork shoota for psycannon, though I still need to go back and add some wires and GS ftw.

i have never seen anyone once pull this effect off well.

There was a farseer model with this effect some years back.

For mine I used a bolter and a cadian grenade launcher. I chopped the bolter off just behind the fore grip, snipped and filed away the clip and recess. I cut the Grenade Launcher just behind the ammo drum and the first segment of the barrel off, then drilled holes in the sides of the remaining barrel to look bolter-esque. Then I cut out the fore grip on the bolter and shoved it under the barrel (fit perfectly too). To make it all Inqy I gave it an =I= brass etch from Forge World, and a purity seal on the ammo drum. Then I gave it a shoulder strap made from greenstuff.

It effectively looks like a long barrelled bolter with a bigger caliber and a drum magazine. I really like the look, personally.

Any way you could post a pic of that, Alex? It sounds pretty wicked. Sorta like Hellboy's Samaritan pistol.
