The second pic also has the release date. Looks like we are seeing some daemon action in May.

Im looking forward to what the "living" defiler looks like, that and to see if Doombreed is in fact the uber special character that was being talked about.

I thought Nurgle was supposed to be 'happy and jolly' not 'exaggerated and cartoony'.

Awful, even with blurry-vision on.

GW seems to have misinterpreted the complaint of "dont make static models" with "make it look like warmachine".

I agree, I prefer more grit and realism but everything seems to be going to the exaggerated and cartoony look.

Really? It all makes me think of the Blanche artwork for Chaos. Very elongated and surreal. The bloodletters especially, but even the beast looks cool. *shrug* to each their own. I can't wait for the Daemons though. I think it'll be so much fun, and maybe have a resurgence of the Daemon-possessed advesaries from the Codex Daemonhunters.

I'm just glad I have 66 of the soon-to-be-not-so-current Daemonettes, the new ones look like junk.

Thanks for the pics Rav D, even if the BoN leaves me totally cold. The plastic bloodletters, now those are cool and I prefer them over the 48 metal ones I currently have ...

I'm all about smiling fat evil for Nurgle, epitomized by the nurglings of a couple editions back. So much more unique and entertaining than more gritty eeeevil generic horror stuff.

I kind of agree, I like the rather blase, chill Nurgle. Action packed Nurgle sort of seems like a contradiction in ideology for a greater power of "f--k it, have a beer instead." More entropy, less "comin at ya!"

The Great Unclean One from FW sort of epitomizes it to me. Seeing some of the paint jobs on that really make my stomach queasy, and makes me think of revolting disease and decay, as opposed to a violent end.

Yeah, I'm not feeling the Beast of Nurgle. Frankly, it doesn't feel Nurgley enough for me....Looks kinda like a not-entirely-inspired conversion to me.

I wanted them to go retro on the beast and bring back the friendly tenticled slug-puppies not what looks like another fugly spawn.

I was hoping for something akin to the slug thingies that almost everybody has converted them up as, or like what these warmaster "beasts of nurgle" look like:

Protip to GW: next time a sculptor's handicapped child happens to gob something together during Bring Your Child To Work Day, don't release it as your official Nurgle beast model.

Barring possible total facial fuggliness, those Bloodletters are going to be cool. After seeing a faceshot, I might preorder a good number. It's also an opportunity to try magnetizing the feet of the models and switching them between fantasy and 40K bases.

The BoN isn't _that_ bad. Some GS over part of the face will get rid of the silly factor quickly. I'm only bummed that it doesn't look terribly posable for variety within larger units. Looks like making our own will be the better idea. Good thing I bought 5 Chainmail carrion crawlers at a Wizards of the Coast closing sale some years ago. If I can't use them anytime soon, I'll trade them to someone else here with a hankerin' for Nurgle.

And yeah, the old daemonettes are going to be a hot item on eBay etc. The new ones aren't that bad, but the old ones were really nice. Er, nasty. Or whatever.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

From what the picture shows, I really like the Beast of Nurgle. Its much more monsterous than the old slugs on a bad hair day models. However i do think it suffers from having a "clean" paint job. I'm looking forward to seeing better pics.

A beautiful blend of the old models with current sculpting standards. Just beautiful.

Nurgle beasts and other crittles should be either evil and subdued, like the FW GUO or even just the simple Plague Bearers, or utterly formless (like the those riding beasts above that don't even appear to have eyes). This new Beast is neither of those. It's the spawn equvalent of the bald Marine yelling as he waves his weapons in the air.

I think both pictures are of such crappy quality that making any judgements is premature. We're talking Bigfoot-sighting level photography here.

I tried to see if I could hunt down the 3ups of the Bloodletter and the plastic pics of the Daemonettes on warseer, but it appears Big brother GW doesnt want them up anymore.
