Link.

I think they both look really good. I will definitely be getting Drago, and I'd get Cankerworm if I played Cryx.

So the Cankerworm isn't our character 'jack then. Good. Can't wait to see that. And how sweet is the Khador one? PP continues to pump out awesomeness in miniature form.

Actually, it is.

Cankerworm comes in a blister (PIP 34057). A player may field one Cankerworm in his Cryx army.

You being able to field one Cankerworm implies FA: C. Nevermind that the way the blurb reads, Cankerworm is a proper noun (Never "a Cankerworm" or "Cankerworms." It's always just "Cankerworm."). But there will be multiple character jacks per faction, so who knows what else Cryx is getting.

Both are quite nice, Drago for awesome sculpt and Canker for concept and almost-there-but-not-quite design

Drago is totally awesome! I see a berserker themed Khadoran army in the near future! 750pts of pure psycho paths! EButcher, Drago, Fenris, 2xDoomreavers and most likely Yuri and a couple of manhunters for the win!

Thanks,
Chappy P!

Cryxwurm is cooler that Drago, but they're both nice.

Apparently PP has heard the cry from potential GW converts for "more skullz!" on their sculpts.

Well, the art of the Juggernaut at the top of the same page does have a purity seal...

Crap, you're right. I was all about to go into a spiel about how it's not "The Cankerworm," which means it's not a character, but then I read again and you're right.

Why can't they just show us our badass Slayer (hopefully)?!

Stoopid PP and their wallet-draining awesomness.

Drago's kind of the Doom Reaver version of a Warjack, so I'm okay with the skull necklace.

I'm curious as to what base size Cankerworm is sitting on, think it would be cool if he was really small, imagine it working it's way up into a much larger jack to well.. jack it.

Yeuch, more fugly badly sculpted models. That jack looks ridiculously over balances and totally without any sense of balance or proportion. It would need substantially pinning. The last jacks I bought made GW moulding look accurate. Seriously, look at it - just yeuch. All it needs to complete it is a sword that looks like it would cause death by blunt force trauma than actually cut anything - which would actually fit with this model.

PP just continues to produce average (if your lucky) quality models that are often overpriced.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Tell us how you really feel, fullheadofhair.

And in my experience, all multi-part PP models require substantial pinning. At least it gives you a sense of accomplishment when you finish assembly and it all stays together. I find pinning 'jacks to be fun. The smaller stuff, not so much.

I can see some PP models being called fugly :cough: Fenris :cough:, but these are far from fugly. Drago is based off a great original sculpt, and the movement in the model is great. Cankerworm is cool looking (though the face is a little weird, I'll give you that.) Plus it's a new sculpt, not just a character model of an old Jack.

To each their own I guess.

I like the way they've made the character jack more dynamic than the older jack sculpts. It would be nice to have same sense of movement in the regular jacks also.

Yoor Speeshawl too Gawd!

I don't like the face on the Cankerworm much, it reminds me of 90's Khorne Berserkers. I like the rest though and I think I might be able to swap Terminus's head with it which would look much much nicer IMO.

The Khador one is nice as well, a big big improvement over crappy jacks like the Spriggan and the ridiculous Behemoth.

Only now do I realize how much I prefer Pete Haines' "misprints" to Gav Thorpe's "brainfarts." :Abadabadoobaddon

The problem is th ehelljack is already a character one....you cant have say a legendary avatar from menoth either for the same reason. *shrug*

I love all three legendary jacks so far. Their awesome. Dont know what fullheadofhair is talking about fugly for. Fenris sure. These? No way.

Hope more old fools come to their senses and start giving you their money instead of those Union Jack Blood suckers...

You're thinking of the DEATHjack. A Helljack is a Cryx heavy 'Jack.

In the upcoming products section it's described as a "character bonejack". I can't imagine that it would be on anything other than a medium base.

Not a flame, but I think all WM models look very similar. Aside from small amounts of detailing, they're all just bloody big humanoid robots. Of course, the Cankerworm doesnt fit into this trend, but I really don't see the appeal of WM.

That said, the sculpts are nice and high quality, it would be good to see some more differentiation on the models however.

Edit: Scratch that, after a small amount of research I am wrong.

There are some really nice models there especially Fenris. The woman down the bottom of the page looks like she would make a good SOB character, more so than the inquisitors used officially. Plus, the fact that you can turn the models to view them is really neat.

blinky, your post shows that people's reactions to PP sculpts
are all over the place. They're consistently inconsistent. Thee
trouble is you can't fix anything in a sculpt that easily since
everything is metal.

Seems to me that Fenris is the Marmite of the Iron Kingdoms. You either love him or you hate him.

For the record, I hate him... but I love Marmite.

I like drago's axes, but the rest of him is pretty weak.

I like cankerworms pincers and the armored plates making his exoskeleton I just wish he was a bit longer is all.
