I think this group of FW stuff is pretty awesome. Although I agree with the bezerker comment, I think Gw is still trying to multi-task it's plastic frames..

I love the fact you can give the Chaplain dread a Plasma Cannon.

Litany of Hate: Even as a Dreadnought the Chaplain retains his former hatred for the foes of the Emperor.

man! I am going to have to build an army around that thing now. I need to pick a chapter. Too bad you can't really do shooty BT.

Shame on them for making a Chaplain Dreadnaught but not giving it a giant honking Crozious for it's weapon!

I wonder what it would look like with the metal chaos arm on it. Probably a little stupid.

Not impressed by the power armour guys. Termies are nice. Chaplain is nice but, yeah, I want a big honkin' Crozius.

I love the Death Guard. GW keeps making dodgy looking nurgle stuff when the 2nd ed. metal plague marines already nailed the design twelve years ago. These echo the coolness of those old models. One would just have to green stuff cloven feet onto them.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but none of this is new. We have teasers about the Khorne conversion sets for months, and the chaplain dread has been floating around the ent since late March/early early april.

There is an attitude that not having an insanely optimized, one shot, six stage, omnidirectional, inevitable, mousetrap of an assassin list army somehow means that you have foolishly wasted your life building 500 points of pure, 24 karat, hand rolled, fine, cuban fail. That attitude has been shown, under laboratory conditions, to cause cancer of the fun gland.

Yes but this is the best close ups yet (I've never seen anything but group shots previously) and now people know that they are available. I've never seen the chain axes at all and was genuinely suprised they were released.
I agree the chappie dread has been around in pics close in detail to these.

So new = cost, detail work/close ups, available to buy, chain axes...

I just wish they'd hurry up and tell us when IA6 is coming out and put the contents up.

Maybe next month?

Pretty much everything that was on display at the forgeworld open day has now been put up on their website. So IA6 can't be too far off.

Look at his wings though -- he doesn't need a big honking crozious, he is a big honking crozious!

*sigh* If I wasn't already so sick of painting red (Word Bearers) I'd be tempted to follow this up by making a Blood Angel drop force with that as the centerpiece...
... grrr fighting urge. must... not... purchase...
I probably doomed to do so when the new drop pod kits come out though...

am i the only one who'd want to replace the chaplain dread head? all the other dread heads would fi tin it as well... i'd much prefer one of hte closed helms in thaere the skull jus tlooks... i dunno wrong?

i know its a chaplain dread and all but it still just doesn't look right

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

i couldn't resist such a beautiful model so i just bought him

edit: whoops didn't realize you didn't already have a BA force, well then i guess you have an excuse to buy the new spray flamer and lots of mechite red!

I always thought the old chainaxe rules were a bit odd. Terminator armor gets reduced to a 4+ but all other armor saves of 4,5, and 6 were unaffected? Just didn't seem right or fit the fluff.

I say they make chainaxes rending weapons.

Those WE termie kits are fantastic but since they’re resin, im concerned that those bunny ears and spikes will snap off easily.
