Hello evryone im currently working on a nurgle/khorne army i've made a list on the army list section on this board with allot of help from you all ^^

I'm working on a squad of khorne worshipping raptors using the wings of the furies i sadly cannot use with the newest CSM army book but i hated the way the furies looked anyways... anyways i've just done a squad of 8 raptors the wings look awesome on them using some green stuff a drill and just glueing it all together i had my finger stuck like 100 times and dropped the minis almost as often as that, thats a good test though most of them stayed together ^^

But now i run into a problem, i think the legs of normal CSM troops are too static and i want to make them look like they are rushing/flying does anyone know what legs i could use for them?

Also does anyone know if theres a way to make melta guns? i currently have 2 from official raptors but i dont feel like using them, since i might be able to trade those and some more unpainted stuff i have for other things i actualy need. i might actualy change the melta guns to plasma pistols but then i'd lose pretty much 45% of my anti tank guns but that would make the raptors more assaulty.

First:
If your Raptor squad carries 45% of your antitank weaponry, you need to redo your list. that is way too much for such a fragile squad.

Oh... and I can't offer any conversion advice for creating meltas... I'd say just use the ones you have & don't worry about trading them. They're more important to use than to trade.

That being said...

There are 2 great sources for the leg style you want, both with disadvantages.
1) Possessed legs
Disadvantage = Oversized. Almost on par with terminator legs

2) SM Assault marines
Disadvantage = Not chaos.

Looks like #2 is your best choice of the two, IMO.

i have loads of plasma but i dont count that as anti tank realy.. 2 oblits 2 predators and the raptors are primary tank destroyers.

the problem is i would still need 2 more melta guns if i were to use the ones i already have.
So it would be better to make them my self. ^^

By the way would khorne bezerker legs work? if not i think ill go with the SM assault marines i guess.
i can use the other bits for some nurgle conversions i guess ^^

I use Tau Fusion Blasters. Plenty of people have extras as plasma and missle pods usually go on the suits, leaving extra flamers and fusion guns. Here's how I used them on my raptors. I also used fury wings for my other squad fo raptors. They look great and cath peoples attention.


If you have berzerkers their legs are much more dynamic.

you can try cutting the csm legs and remounting them using green stuff to make them look like they are running, or mount them on flying bases/wire to show they are airborne.
