Well, I took a look at the rules today after seeing a warthog model for them in the local card shop I go to. (the rules and full range are online at the wizkids store) I thought that the models looked decent enough for prepaints and the poses themselves weren't all that bad so you could repaint them if needed. Now the game rules itself are good if all you want is a halo deathmatch on a tabletop with drawn terrain... (Plays and looks pretty much the same as Heroclix if you have played that.)
Now while I was looking through it I thought that if alternate rules were made you could actually get a decent wargame that wasn't just a video game on the table. (which if you wanted should just go and play the bloody xbox version)
As for the possible Necron Super Heavy, they have released a massive Scarab model for the game. (for those of you who haven't played halo its pretty much a giant spiderish thing made out of metal and shoots plasma)
Heres the link for a pic

If you check out my thread here

You can see that beast compared to a space marine.
I will be using mine as a walking Manta, but there's nothing saying that it couldn't be used by the Necrons.

I'm so glad my wife has a real job(read: Air Force Commission) now that she's graduated. We're finally making enough money that (finally) buying the Scarab doesn't look excessive to me.
Plus, she doesn't complain so that I won't get on her about how much SHE spends on antiques.

I thought it looked fairly Tauish.
The legs could come off easily enough and be used for something else, leaving you with a nice fuselage.

Well forget that then. You can probably get a dozen good Japanese SF models for that price.

You can sometimes pick them up on ebay for roughly $180 after shipping.
Its not really worth it as the only moveable part is the top turret.
The legs are permanently snapped in place and the joints tend to come unglued alot.
If I didn't get one as a Christmas present from my boss I would have been upset at the price.
