could I make a simple green stuff mold to make the parts on an OOP land speeder that it didn't come with?

how do you make a green stuff mold for the pilot, co pilot and some other larger pieces that it didn't come with?

Don't know how you could make the mold without having the pieces you want to make molds of.

Have you thought about purchasing the sidecars from the attack bike? They have a seated marine in them.

I know the pieces you're talking about and those would be some pretty big pieces to GS mold. That being said, because you don't have to worry about detail on the back-side of the pieces, they might actually be amenable to recreating with a mold. If you did it, you'd probably need to mold them in multiple pieces - like head and torso, upper legs, lower legs.

Foda makes a good point - the piece from the sidecar would be just about right. In fact, you can get the piece through The Warstore's Bitzwagon.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

I had to go dig mine out, what big piece are you talking about?

It might actually be a fun scratch build to do one of these with the newer marines. It would have to be a little larger though.

the problem is their not that old. the driver and gunner actually have the metal covering.

those are the era of speeders I'm working with, but the ones i'm talking about have the melta/flamer combo. i recently purchased another melta/flamer speeder that has the parts that I need so I can mold the rest to finish the other.

I guess plasticard could work. I' need to finish the left hand side (driver) because he didn't get a protection plate (for lack of a better word) but other then that and the marines I'm set.

I didn't think of ordering a new driver. I might actually hold off until the new marine box set is released and put some of the new heads and armor on them. any hints on the weapons though? because the gunner is holding the flamer and the melta is on the bottom. I've never used a heavy flamer on a speeder and it wouldn't be considered defensive anymore so I don't see much point to it. any thoughts on converting the melta to the top? or where I could find one that I could use in its place?

thanks again guys.

yeah these things are my baby's,

I was thinking about it, and would resin effect kneadadite (sp?) during the curing process or vice versa? I could make some really cool drivers if I could pull this off.
