Nice work. I do have one little comment though. The bright orange seems really out of place, how about a nice red like the bolters?

Have you ever taken an Ishihara test? I'm not trying to flame or anything but up to 20% of males have some sort of color blindness.

Thanks for your comments.

ChaosDave@ I have had color blind tests, and have passed. I value your feedback both neg and pos. But I'm inclined to stick with my Orange power fist/weapons. This will be my third army painted that way. I started painting them that way to help me keep track of where they were during early tournament games when I was hung over. The way I paint I go for the cartoony bathed in energy look. Here is a squad from my BT army. Do you feel the Orange looks out of place on them also? Or just on the Red white and purple guys?

well according to my color wheel, orange is the best complement to purples.. just like red and green are perfect compliments..

I like the brightness. It's a great nod towards the pointy sticks..

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

they look too well painted, are you sure they are not Pointy Sticks of the Emperor.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

I love the nod to TSOALR, and they're very well done. Be careful, as making your power weapons stand out helps your enemy immediately recognize threats as well! I personally dig the orange glow, but it's probably more of an acquired taste.

I love the Chappie pic, as some white fuzz on your backdrop has become perfect smoke rising from the barrel of his bolter, too cool.

I love it. Make sure you put turn signals on the land raider.

I do have a question,

What is the bit opposite of the grenade on his crotch?

Pocket Calculator! I can't remember if they had started calling them an Auspex when that mini came out yet or not.

I looked at that hard and long while I was painting. I figured auspex, or maybe a calculator, or an Ipod, cell phone, PSP. But as it turns out it is a remote entry for a LR, that has a feature to turn off the turn signal in the case it is left on during a battle.

these are really a lot of fun. I'd die to play against an entire army of Pointy marines.

Don't forget to leave a plastic head beaky though ^_-.

I don't really like the orange by itself, but I like it in the BT army. I think that it gets better as a part of a group, I don't think its the color scheme itself. If you have some standard guys painted up, having a tactical squad with powerfist might look better than just the sargent all by his lonesome.

Those are really well painted. If you want to expand your army, there's a youtube video somewhere of someone showing off their landraider, which had functioning turn signals. They used LEDs. I'll try to find a link. You could try that as a conversion, along with Kren and Frep as crewmembers.
