I can't take credit for these pictures, as I was too busy being blown away and this person graciously took them instead.

The basic rundown of the game is that the good side deployed butt to the wall and stayed there. Evil consisted largely of good models - due to shortage of players, some guard, marines, and more guard had to join the side of evil, and were welcomed with open arms. Because of this, evil also deployed close to the edge and tried to exchange fire with good, while some certain... "ambitious" evil players [myself, a friend, and another player] tried sneaky tricks to get the jump on them.

On one flank, a Maelstrom of Gore tried to flank march. A well-placed Disruptor Beacon meant that to avoid being repositioned they'd have to enter almost outside assault range. They tried to, and about 60% of the attacking force was wiped out by an Ambush asset. Undaunted, the survivors decided to assault the devastators atop the battlements........only to be told by the organizer that it was a bunker, not just a building you could climb. The assault was completely annihilated.

Across the board, some 60 terminators attempted to land and wreak havoc using the Doombringer Annihilation Force. A few nasty D-weapon templates later and less than half that number stood. The survivors summoned daemons on turn 3 and trudged off into combat, assisted by An'ggrath and Zarakynel. Then, a too-lucky terminator chainfist ripped into the plasma reactor of one of the sentinel warhound titans and caused an Apocalyptic Explosion of 21" radius, which wiped out all but a handful of the terminators, and literally 5 out of every 6-man daemon unit. The following turn was a bitter struggle to hang onto objectives with pittance of forces, and in the end the game was a draw, with An'ggrath holding an objective by himself thanks to the Hold At All Costs asset, which we found out works QUITE WELL in 5th edition, if you read the asset carefully.

All in all the game was fun. We need to find a better way to get into assault! The good side sported no less than three baneblades, a swarm of medusa and worse batteries, half a dozen basilisks, two chapters' worth of marines with lascannons, 13 railguns, 2 Cobras, and some jerk [just jabbin' ya T!] with 5 Culexus Assassins and Shaefer's Last Chancers with 25 sanctioned psykers.

Edit: I should probably post the URL for the pics! http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f225/gunsniper24x/8-9%20Lucky%2013/?start=0

Yeah I brought 1 Culexus Assassin and 30 or so psykers to a tournament once.

Got asked to never bring that army around again.

yeah...
balance looks to have gone out the window with all the super heavies look to be on the Good side.
some sharing of the good sides goodies would have sorted that out...
I can only see one (pink) baneblade on the evil side of the table, plus the two greater great daemons...

That pink Baneblade was also mine, and it was destroyed first turn - apocalyptically, of course. It never really got to do much. Evil had to deploy first, so good deployed all those railguns and the Revenant titan across from me. Most of my shots bounced harmlessly off of Tau Decoy launchers. I killed a piranah, stunned another, and knocked a structure point off a warhound.

We also had a brass scorpion that kind of solo'ed the left flank for a while, until it was eventually brought down.
