Does anyone have any idea when they are thinking re-doing some of the codex's for 5th edition.

Particularly looking at armies like Imperial Gaurd, Blood Angels (so they have a non WD army list), Dark Eldar, and possibly Necrons.

They haven't even confirmed exactly when the Ork 2nd wave will hit or what's in it yet, so there's very little anyone knows about what's coming next.

Best guesses put Guard at first half of '09. DE towards the end of '09. Somewhere in there are Necrons, Space Wolves and... something else maybe. Lizardmen are coming. 2nd Wave Daemons and Marines eventually. That's it.

And don't expect Blood Angels for a long time.

Bell of Lost Souls addressed all of this - I forwarded the message to Dakka in another thread.

Long story short: Guard get theirs within a year.

Guard is in May of 09.

We have? We've heard from people who've confirmed they are coming. I don't think anyone has "seen" them and talked about it on the intrawebz.

I believe late March through early May is when to expect the IG.

There's a slide of the ST greens floating around somewhere.

Wow, those shotguns remind me of a bucket of warm spit. That and the marine wannabe head really turn me off.

Thats true. Didn't like that either. This model looks like a marine scout wannabe with the shotgun. I'd have to see what a hellgun version looks like.

The bald head in question is really a resin Cadian head from the FW upgrade pack.

As of now no plastic greatcoats have been hinted at, so we might just be seeing a small update of the dated models such as the Chimera and Russ, which I've seen will get a more angular and futuristic turret design, as shown with the Chimera. Storm troopers will be done in plastic to boost the sales of the upcoming Valkyrie, which will be a storm trooper only transport option. The Valkyrie itself wont be released until Summer to tie in with Planet Strike and other than that we got nothing tangible really. I'm hoping to learn more at "the Frenzy" early November but I doubt that they would tell us much.

As for the M32 shotgun, it is used by the Imperial Guard so in all likelihood it will be a standard str 3 AP - weapon, making the die-hards whine that the model will look nice but will be really useless.

Ooo, Planet-Strike.

If all goes well I'll be having a big enough budget for seven Valkyries, if they are in the price range of something below the land raider. Just a little longer and my Elysians will finally become airmobile.
