This was a bugger to find. You can see some nice snaps here.
Really nice Farseer took the sword, however many many lovely models.
Personally I'm torn between the troll (4th model), the amazing mounted High Elf banner or the sublime work on the High Elf cloak.
There's more pics of the day/event/models etc
here and here
worth digging through.

Ha, actually that was just for the Golden demon stuff.
The other links were indeed heroically found on TTGN. Typical really, I bribe the Italian speaking lady at work to have a look for me, she finds the above forum as her brother plays, get home to post them and the same poxy links are on TTGN.

I love that Farseer, the dwarf vs. snotling (giving him the finger, no less!) duel, and the High elf with the cloak. Amazing work, all of it and certainly worthy of a GD...

Wow, all that stuff looks amazing and I counted two Power klaws on the nobs sprue. I'm hoping I missed one, but It looks like you could make some wicked claws from all the big choppa Parts if you wanted to. Over all I"m very impress by these new Plastics. Now I'm all sad because I have to wait until January for them to be released.

Yeah one of the Nobz on display had a Power Klaw. I doubt there will be a box of 5 Nobz without a single Klaw.
What I like is the three different weapons you can give the plastic Runtherd - whip, grabba stick and something else.

BTW... I checked out those GD minis.
I'm left with TWO thoughts:
1) That Dread is an AoBR dread! Wow!
2) Anyone want to buy all my paints, brushes, greenstuff and other modelling stuff? I just need superglue and clippers to clip stuff off the sprue. I don't think I even want to bother with mold lines anymore. :' (

I for one am simply gobsmacked those Stormboys are plastic. The level of detail is outstanding. The Nobz and Grots (plus Runtherd - excellent!) are also very good.
DE and Necron players should have much to look forward to if this is the level of detail GW is now putting out on plastics.
One has to wonder, if this is the standard they now set for plastic figures, why on earth aren't the SM Vanguard and Sternguard in plastic? Surely the numbers would justify it.

Gordy2000 wrote:One has to wonder, if this is the standard they now set for plastic figures, why on earth aren't the SM Vanguard and Sternguard in plastic? Surely the numbers would justify it.
2 reasons.
1. They've mentioned in the past that they only have a limited amount of 'slots' to use to create new plastic kits for each new release. It's the reason why Jes' resculpt of the Eldar Jetbike wasn't made into a model. I think that the 2nd Wave gives them a bit of leeway (Orks are getting another 4 plastic kits - Nobz, Stormboyz, Grots, Battlewagon - one top of their original 4 plastic kits - Lootas, Boyz, Bikes, Trukk), but otherwise there's a limit on what they can do for each release.
2. Money. Plastic Moulds are expensive. More expensive than metal. They want to put everything in plastic, but the cost to do so is prohibitive.
Additionally they probably figure that, say, unlike Lootas and Stormboyz, there really isn't a huge amount of difference between Sternguard and Tac Marines, Vanguard and Assault Marines, so people who want lots can convert plastic ones.

I just really wish they didn't have metal jump packs. Reminds me of the dark times of 2nd Ed, where Jump Packs were made of lead... *shudder*

Yes they do, you can see it in one of the pics of the painted unit. It goes on the slaver's base and he is holding it by the collar.

Altough Grots aren't really very high on my priorities list, it's nice that they finally have plastics. And appearantly, they are about the same size as the Gnoblars, so you can do some head switching here and there.
There don't seem to be any Snazzguns on the Nob sprue, but if they have two-handed shootas and stuff, they can easily be converted.
