I guess that the first thing that battlewagon drives must learn is no sudden turns, lest their beloved machine end up on its side. It definitely should be about an inch wider.

The nobs would be great if they didn't have labored constipation written all over their faces. But I guess that happens when Brian Nelson doesn't scuplt them.

Still love the battlewagon

The kit has over 100 pieces. The selection of 'Uge Choppas is just one part of that.

Yes.

From my current modelling blog (Blogorama 6) in the P&M blog forum...

16cm from front to end with reinforced ram on the front.
Height depends on add ons, as does side pieces added on. The pictured one is a touch under 12cm tall, without add ons, about 8cm tall.

The battle waggon is essentially the Orkoid equivalent of a Land Raider right?

How long between the new Land Raider release and the release of the variants like Crusader, Redeemer? Yep, you can bet that the Deff Rolla variant will come later to ensure a second surge of battlewagon purchases, and... [cynic mode] to bump the price a tad... [/cynic mode]

Shocking I know...

I forsee old toilet roll tubes and loads of those pointless extra choppas you get in the Ork boys kit with the handles cut off.

There are going to be some properly craptacular home brews in a FLGS near you any time soon. :S

Yes, four (or five) old style Imperial Guard 'dozer blades will do the job quite nicely.

And a couple Dred arms for articulation, of course. You could decorate the Rolla with skull glyphs in case you wanted to make ork biscuits out of any humies (or tyranties, or pansies, or grots) you run over.

I mean it's the equivalent to GW in terms of sales, price, kit type, and also purpose on the battlefield (assault troop carrying with fire support) rather than armour and points equivalent in the game. Battlewagon is to Ork as Land Raider is to Marine, battlewagon vs LR head to head, no contest, but then that's the point isn't it? You can have 2 1/2 battlewagons for the price of a Land Raider, and you can have 2 1/2 Orks for the price of a marine.

GW's site says the price for the Battlewagon is now $50. Was it originally listed @ $25 or did I misunderstand? If it doubled in price, I'm feeling the breeze of the Realm of Battle and BoFA again. If not, then I guess you can compare it price-wise to a LandRaider

It's a big kit, I doubt it was ever really meant to be at $25. There might have been an unfortunate typo, but nothing more nefarious than that.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Agreed. I subsribe to Hanlon's Razor, attributing it to error versus vice. Still, GW has a really, really poor accuracy record of announcing prices for stuff.

Whether they realize it or not, they build up at least a percentage of their potential buyers' expectations and then yank the carpet, resulting in at least some lost sales. Making sure they put out good info at least lets people brace for it (okay, it's similar to a LandRaider for Orks) and justify.

Advertising the thing as $25 (cheaper than a Trukk) is just a poor practice. They did a similar mix-up with Battle for Five Armies, announced for around $50 initially and then raised last minute to $80. Again, it was a 'mistake' but it still lost sales.

Back on topic: That is a killer model. So are all those gunner Orks included?
