The voting is over and the winners of the 2008 TGN Reader’s Choice Awards have been posted.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote and to nominate products in this year’s awards. It has been a lot of fun reading everyone’s nominees, comments and tracking the results.

Really? Wow. Was cost a criteria in that one?

You'd have to ask the people that voted for it.

Goes to show that the masses, as a whole, are bloody stupid. To be fair, though, at least the other picks are sane. The Death Marshals, especially, are beautiful.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Those Wyrd cowboy-steam punk miniatures are really nice. I’m surprised they don’t show up more often,

Good to see the new historical plastics getting some love.

I dunno. I nearly voted for the board. Very nearly. Even though I think the cost is completely OTT. It's a good, well constructed product. The vote was for "Best Product", not "Best value-for-money product", so it is no surprise to me that it was popular enough to win. The board isn't the only item in the list of nominations that were priced more highly than my personal preference. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with them quality-wise though.

It doesn't suit everyone's needs of course, but there are an awful lot of people who think its nice. And in any case, it seems to be selling well according to reports from FLGS owners - so many people must think the price is OK.

Congratulations to the winners of all sections. It was an open and free vote, and the most popular products clearly won.

Right, fine then! When I pick mine up on Monday, purely to spite *you* I shall also procure myself a Giant. So there. Nyeh.

(but seriously, I'm getting mine Monday and can't wait!)

A group you are a part of so I'd hesitate to tar yourself with the brush you're wielding so liberally. :-)

Wow - Wyrd Miniatures has got a lot of nice stuff. If I were to do an =I=munda campaign, I would borrow heavily from that line. Hokey smokes!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack
