Thought I'd consolidate all of my Deffkopta, Stompa, and Boyz stuff in a single spot. Progress on the Ork horde. Two test figures done:

and I'm starting to cut Big Shoota barrels for my Deffkoptas. Now I just have to paint them up.



Last but not least, we're making slow progress on the Stompa. Got my foil laid down, looking for another eye, and I've made a rudimentary deff cannon that is attached by magnets so that it can be pulled off. I'm looking for something that can serve as shoulder armor and I'll build a lifta droppa first ... oh yes, and feet.

Sharp looking Orks! I can't wait to see more.

I basecoated with Orkhide Shade and then a heavy overbrushing of Gnarloc Green. This is followed with a wash of Paynes Grey, which helps smooth out the transitions and then I do a final highlight of Camo Green.

A fairly good week of painting and 99 Orks are ready for eyes, teeth, and tongues.

They'll be broken up into various mobs, but in the mix are a Warboss, 6 AOBR Nobs, 9 big shootas, 2 rokkits, 2 standard nobz, and 79 assorted other boyz ... mostly w/ sluggas and choppas

Since it's orks, that's probably like 200 points. Iffy has like 500 more orks he's
supposed to paint for next weekend.

99 at a time ... actually, now that I'm close to the finish, I'm doing like 9-11 at a time, so I take all of the same head types and doing a particular color, and then the same color on the next head type ...

Are they for a tournament?

No, but I'm in the midst of a Finish an Army Challenge, where we have to finish a 750-point block every month. I've finished with my block of Tyranids for this period, and started working on my Orks to fill the time. Next period starts on the 17th, so I need to finish my Orks by then.

Are they just footsloggers or do you have vechiles and such?

Footsloggers for now. Next in the queue, are 2 battlewagons coming in the mail and the Stompa kit when it's released.

Not really. I'm painting them up in a variety of styles, but nothing specifically identified as Bad Moon or Snakebite. I have some with red shoulder pads, some with the blue tattoos, and some with the black and white checkerboarding.

I'm building a stompa for the hell of it and I used small plantpots for feet, on top of them I glued a third plantpot in a pyramid arrangement, this supports the large plantpot that is the main body

I'm going to use a dental floss container for the front part with a small shoe polishing sponge case (round, you can get these from hotels) for the back. I'll use a medicine container for the post.

The rules for stompa's,which book are they in?
