Aloha, another night at the back of Kalihi Valley. Sousou is playing Chaos Daemons and I, Solomon, am playing Necrons. The mission is Sieze Ground and the set up is Dawn of War. The drink is Kava

Top of the First. Necron forces the Daemons to go first

A soulgrinder rips into the Necrons

Necrons counter attack after accurate flamer deepstrike.

Top of the Second

All remaining Daemons arrive

Daemons claim three objectives

Two Necron Lords arrive with Necron Warriors. One Lord has the Orb and the other the Veil

One Monolith arrives and threatens one flank

Top of the Third

Soulgrinder accurately coughs up on the Lords

Another Monolith arrives on the other flank while the Lords are recycled through the first one and exact revenge.
Both Monoliths begin to gnaw away at the Daemons

Top of the Fourth

Daemons pour everthing the have into the last of the Necrons and bring them within 5 models of Phaze-Out

Lords and Warriors craftily recycle from opposite Monolith and clear off another objective

Top of the Fifth

Soulgrinder runs back and fourth chasing down the Lords and Warriors who are two models from Phaze-Out

Lord and Warriors use Veil for the first time and Wipe the Horrors from the last objective.

Game ends a draw.

Whew, the Necrons were sooo close to Phaze out, what a game!

All painted and pushing 60,000 points combined.

Old school necrons! Awesome!

Aggressively using a Necron Lord's Veil of Darkness to teleport a brick of Immortals and shoot the crap out of weak opponents is, by the way, one of their dirtiest tricks. If the necron player figures out a good way to make use of it, it can be devastating!

Your gaming board is gorgeous, by the way. How did you make the blue ice?

Sorry, I don't have any better shots of the princes. However I do want to do a full photo documentation of all my armies so I can prove what my sig says so stay tuned

Oh, my friend Pat did the killer ice terrain, check out his website in my sig for more info.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Excellent report and second the kudos on the old school necrons and ice world terrain.

Drinking kava while playing 40k, does it make for a more friendly game

Iorek: "Snoogums, you're right. Your arguments are irrelevant, and they sure as heck aren't going away."

yeah,
I agree with what everyone else says, nice armies especially the old necrons played on awesome terrain.
and A close fought battle FTW!
The deamons arriving enmass like that was a mixed blessing, it forced Sou Sou to play his hand. After the initial shock with everything on the table you could see his plans and adapt... No more surprises!

A draw! I bet he was hoping for a turn 6? to get the phase out.

Wow thanks Panic!, I am all ways honored to get feedback from you. And the best compliment I can offer, as they say, is duplication Thanks for the inspiration!

Yeah, about 60% of the games I have played since 5th edition have been draws and that is fine with me. Both players leave with half a win and the fun continues as we debate what would have happened if the game continued one more turn

1750 Iyanden vs Noise Marines this Saturday so stay tuned for more.....hammer.
