I am new to Dakka Dakka as weall as wargaming. I just recently dove into Warhammer 40,000 last month and aklreayd have 3 total armies. The armies are quite small but I am working on adding to the squads.
I love to sit and paint the figurines and vehicles to desing whatever I want. I know they are suggested themse to go by but i dont follow them. Warhammer can be used to express creativvity of design of new Breeds and clans and that is what I intend on doing.
I am fairly new to the game and I know the basics of play and everything, but I still have a lot to learn and I think i am far from competeing in a tournament or competitions. My armies are still not ready for battle as I am not finishe dpainting them even though I began around July 10th. I have just finished my Imperial Bastion and the Altar as well as the space marines. now I ahve two Orc armies to paint beofre I am complete. 
I have chosen to stick with marines as my Armies evne though I ahve two Orc armies. Orcs are weak in armor and inacurate in shooting against marines and dont typically last long in war. Especially when they are up against a Predator Tank with Heavy Bolters. 
I joined Dakka Dakka becuase a friend told me about it one night when i showe dup at his work while he was on duty. He said that this would be the place to go for Warhammer hints and tips and learn how to paint and make tearrian. And let me tell you, he was right about this site. I have leanred tips and hints on how to make terrain and I figured I would try somethign new, Crochet terrain. I know its sounds screwed up and weird, but its quite interesting to make terrain this way. I do not personally make the terrain, but I give the ideas and have them made for me. I have a picture of a hand made tree in my gallery and what it looks like.
Check out my work and let me know what you think. I have receive dcomplements here and there but I think I can do better than what I have been.

I am unsure of how the weapons in my Bastion Work. They do not have a WS needed to attack, all they have is S and AP.
How exactly would I use them to attack becuase I cant find it in the book or am over looking things.
I am not playing by PlanetStrike rules yet, so none of them would work...I am tryin to find the book for it.

Welcome, like yourself I am new to both the forum and wargaming. It seems you quickly took to the painting. Can't help but say I am jealous. I need to overcome my fear of ruining my models with a crappy paint job and start actually painting so I can gain some more experience.
