Ok so when I was 16 and at my very first job (YEA TARGET) I was part of the remodel there. While cleaning out a closet I found a store display of the SNES in full working order. I asked, and it was given to me for a buck. NOW fast forward a few years, while having a party at my parents barn, I was drunk and thought throwing it at the concrete floor was amusing.

Fast forward to a few days ago. I got bored and decided to tinker with this unworking broken pile of awesomeness. I hacked some RCA wires up and away I went. A few hours of head scratching I got my SNES working in perfect order. Im happy. I forgot how cool games and consoles were back then. I just cant get enough of it.

Anyone else have a video game flash back and just enjoyed it to much?

I just watch AVGN for that. Nostalgia is fickle. You remember a game that was a lot of fun when you were a kid, get the wise idear in your head to try playing it again and remember how fething TERRIBLE IT ACTUALLY IS.

And yes, I used to think Top Gun was an awesome game...

Starwing still kicks ass. Especially the start of the first level. Gives me chills just thinking about it.

How many times can you play that lousy FF6 game? Seriously?

Not seriously. Coolest game ever. Oh, and I worked at Target for over a year when I was 16 and all I got was picking up broken glass with my bare hands and a bold red "THANKS FOR TAKING IT OVER A BARREL FOR ONE YEAR" card.

I cut my teeth on an Atari that my brother has at his place. I still have my original NES (with the original Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, Metroid, and Zelda and 20+ other games) hooked up and play it often.

To introduce some new old school, I bought a fully functional N64 and a handful of games and controllers for $4 at a rummage sale. When I got home and hooked it up, I remembered that I had some games for it in the closet. When I went looking, I found my own N64 in it's original packaging, sitting next to the box for the NES...

I've got my son hooked on Ocarina of Time and Mario Cart 64. He loves the old school!

Rock 'n Roll Racing was great, loved playing it with two people, usually it was coop vs the computer but trying our hardest to get that nr. 1 finish and bust the other back to 2nd.

Finally! I was starting to think that this was going to be lost to young kids that only play 360s.
ZID- your list is almost perfect. All those games were the gak! Im going to write that down and buy most of those lol.

And yea I planned on getting a couple of the Final Fantasy gmaes that were on this console. Very cool stuff.

I wish my SNES and games were still around. They were stolen from my older sister's house.

I still have my original n64 in working order. Got it from my brother who purchased it when i was 4 years old and gave it to me for my sixth birthday. I still love pulling out goldeneye and trying to get through aztec on the hardest mode, only have done it once successfully.
