Yes! I was following it in Japan on the internet before they announced that they were bringing it over. We should totally battle over Wi-Fi I think the easiest question is what is your favorite one, and my answer would be Breloom. Game play-wise and aesthetically, I love the little guy. What's yours?

Pokemon is evil. plain and simple.
Its because the main purpose is to capture innocent animals and make them fight for our enjoyment.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

By that logic, GTA is evil because you kill innocent people, WoW is evil because it glorifies war, and Halo is evil because you shoot aliens which is obviously a poorly disguised racist attack. :

Marketing doesn't make a difference when it comes to games. GTA is aimed at older gamers, but there are a lot of kids playing it on XBL.

Uhm... more people below the age of 12 play wow. And you know the kind of language and things that get thrown around on that game.
And Pokemon cannot even be classified as animals. Heck, all the game is is a rock paper scissors fight between two imaginary thingamajoos. If you wanted to take this stance damn near ANY anime related kids game is "evil";bakugan, digimon, all those sorts of shows. Even Dragonball Z was aimed at youngsters and that shows pretty violent!

*insert random ridiculous appeal to morality*
I wanna join in too!
Srsly, am I making animals fight when playing Pokemon? No. Am I pressing a button on a controller that makes a processor run some code and display some pixels in a random order? Yes. Therefore Pokemon is not equal to animal cruelty.

People, stop talking about pokemon games being dogfights. They are not. They were (firstly) planned for children and even Nintendo isn't cruel enough to teach kids bad things.
Right?

This coming from an donkey-cave who says that we should corral and eat more exotic animals because they are tasty?
Well done! Well done indeed! Nobel Prize of something something for this chap here.
p.s.
It's fake. Just a game. Unless you have some clever argument with scientific proof that Pokemon led to an increase in cockfighting and dogfighting.

That's a kanji character, about buddism. The Nazi one goes to the right and is a mirror image of that.
Today the symbol is used in Buddhist art and scripture, known in Japanese as a manji (literally, "the character for eternality" 萬字), and represents Dharma, universal harmony, and the balance of opposites. When facing left, it is the omote (front) manji, representing love and mercy. Facing right, it represents strength and intelligence, and is called the ura (rear) manji. Balanced manji are often found at the beginning and end of Buddhist scriptures (outside India).
A manji marks the beginning of many Buddhist scriptures. The manji (in either orientation) appears on the chest of some statues of Gautama Buddha and is often incised on the soles of the feet of the Buddha in statuary. Because of the association of the right-facing swastika with Nazism, Buddhist manji (outside India only) after the mid-20th century are almost universally left-facing: 卍. This form of the manji is often found on Chinese food packaging to signify that the product is vegetarian and can be consumed by strict Buddhists. It is often sewn into the collars of Chinese children's clothing to protect them from evil spirits.

The one pointing left is the good one, the one the nazis used was the one that points to the right.

Yes, but that symbol existed for ages before the nazis appaered, I think. If it's to the right like the nazi one, it's supposed to mean strength and intelligence. So they probably got it from them.
This thread went from pokemon to nazis
