Well, much like on the Tabletop, I play Orks nothing like mass charge of Sluggas, backed by Meganobz and a Squiggoth. The Warboss and The Big Mek both Pwn, especially if you port the Mek behind the enemy along with some storm boys

Either that or it's the old IG. Nothing says "Ha!" like a Baneblade flanked by Leman Russes and Kasrkin!

I started off playing as Imperial Guard, but when I realized that they were much more powerful than they are on tabletop (after buying about 1500pts of them ),and because they are dreadful compared to everyone else, I gave them up.

After that I basically played as everyone, only played as orks once because the orky pointz and WAAGH stuff confused me.

Settled down now and started playing as necrons (on DOW obviously, not on the tabletop) and space marines. My favourites gotta be the necrons. Those tiny little green lights flash... and people die. If only the Tabletop would catch up with this idea

I remember a game i play online with necrons vs orks
It was a 2v2 Necrons and elder (me and dee) yea i know eldar and necrons
and we were facing Orks and space marines

Well i had a monolith and destroys destroying the spacemarines and summond in 5 squads of flyad(sp)ones and destoryed half his base he only had like his HQ a barracks left and a squad of space marines. I just walked in with my necron lord with res orb smashed it off the ground my necrons rose back up and killed the rest.

I did the same with orks except i used destroyers and monoliths +nightbringer with res orb from necron lord to help

Do you think this is abit rigged online?

Having played all of the games, I think I eneded up liking the Dark Eldar the best.

Once you get your head around the need to set up mass soul harvesting facilities at your base, you really start to smash opponents with your 'buffs'.

much more micro managed, but by the time they came out they were a whole new element to the game.

I went from paying LOTR Strategy to WH40k because of DOW, (like I said before with my disappointment with the IG.

My mate had the same problem, he also went from LOTR to 40k, but he thought that the necrons were good on the game, so he wasted about £200 on them before he realized their dreadfulness. His brother was the only one of the three of us who chose a good army. He liked chaos on DOW, he destroyed everything with them on the tabletop.

Dawn of War, I play Tau.

I don't like the Crisis Suit limitations (number AND weapon slots) but MAN, I love that Tau Harbinger!!!

2 Firewarrior Teams, 2 Broadsides, and the Harbinger and I can take down ANYTHING. I love parking that thing close to an enemy base, drop a ton of drones, then have em all attack in a mass confusion of drone-goodness....

...then do it all over again. Works even better with a Hammerhead as a follow up attack. Ahhh, how I pray for something like this on the tabletop. Would never be feasible though. But a Gue'vesa can only dream.

Forever alone

I remember how broken IG were when Winter Assault first came out. Commissars gave some flying rodent gak insane amount of health regeneration that made Guardsmen tougher than Marines and there was no limit on Leman Russes.

By the time Soulstorm came out, I have to say Space Marines were my favourite army to play as, even with Indrick Baldeale.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Necrons are a little broken in the hands of good players...

Dark Eldar are certainly my favourite in DoW. Scourges are quite powerful - devastators with jetpacks! In team games I can usually clean up a player with them quite early on. Quite recently in a 3 vs. 3 game I lost both of my allies, (the enemy had SoB and Tau left alive, the opponent Eldar had been killed) and managed to fight off both armies pincering in on my main battleforce in the centre of the field. I then managed kill the SoB base, and wrap around to finish off the Tau in the opposite corner.
The jumping scourges proved vital, as they were able to make a detour to my own base and clean up the force of Tau vehicles that had started to attack me, before joining my main force again in time to clean up the blueskins...

Ive only played the original and i like the orks best. The eldar are lacking in many good units though its cool if you get an avatar. Orks are great as they can get loads of slugga boyz and shoota boyz that overwhelm the foe. the nobz are really good too. My faves are; the stormboyz as theyre just cool; the vehicles as theyre cool as well and are great fun when you charge 5 or do into the enemy's camp; and the big mek whos actually really good in CC. Even the things they say are good.

My fav is still playing the Orks in those games. Very fun. But IMO the strait up most hardcore unit in dark crusade is easily the BaneBlade. Man when that thing pops out on the field you can just crush entire fortresses.

I love the eldar since the friends I play online against each other and they usually spam unit that can't detect invisible units. Oh and who else has a invisible base?
