Does anyone play this game?

I got it for the PC and would love to play online.

is it another one of those steam-only games? I saw some previews and it looked kinda cool

It's a hard-copy game, Necros. I saw it at EB Games and Blockbuster.

ah .. I love transformers and was thinking about getting it for PS3, but I was looking at gamespot.com and it was rated 6.5, so I was afraid it might suck.

Professional reviewers are full of gak. IGN gave Metro 2033 a 6.9 but it's one of the most fun and challenging FPS games I've played recently.

Want good reviews, check the Escapist and be sure to watch their video supplements.

I started yesterday. What pisses me off the most is that it my version only has one language. I want Peter Cullen as Optimus damn it!

Apart from that, it's okay so far. It's faster than other 3rd Person Shooters but the Setting and Character/Vehicle-Design is imho not as much fun as Transformers on Earth.

Its a fun game to play. Campaign is ok but the real fun is in the multiplayer.

IGN gave it 9.0 out of 10 so not all the reviews are low for it. (it looks awesome by the way)

I'm still unsure if I want to get this for the PS3 or PC. I have a friend who plays it on PC so most likely I'll get it on there. I was also considering a PS3 because I recently purchased one and would like some games for it.

PC multiplayer is pretty dead. Usually aren't more than 400 players online at any time. Now, I've never had a problem getting into a game. Conquest and Team Deathmatch are pretty much all that anyone plays, the other playlists being dead almost 24/7. You can find people in TDM and Conquest, but you usually end up playing the same people over and over again. That may or may not be a deal breaker.

I'd pick PS3 over PC anyday. just more fun for me playing on the sofa

I've only played 3 missions so far but I like the characters. Starscream is always like "that damn fool Megatron. Soon I will lead the Decepticons!". Pure gold.

I love games with hammy characters. It reminds me of the fun times in Red Alert.

I would like to get a bit more into Transformers. Which show should I watch? I want one with the classic characters transforming into vehicles but maybe someting that looks better then the original G1 cartoon. Any suggestions?

So I've just finished the campaign and I have to say, I'm dissapointend. While the gameplay is very smooth and everything looks pretty good it was still a rather bland 3rd-Person-Shooter. The usual guns, a lot of running, awkward close combat. Transforming was a nice touch but that is all.

And as stupid as it sounds, Cybertron is not a good setting for a Transformers game. Why do all the Transformers have wheels? Heck, why do they even bother with the transforming when they don't have to be "in disguise".
Also, Transformers used to be "larger than life" characters, but this just doesn't show if they move on their home planet.

I'm a huge huge fan of this game. Have played a ton of online multiplayer and I've enjoyed all 3 modes (the campaign, online MP and horde mode).

Because they move faster in vehicle mode and have storage space that way. Also, they DO use it for disguise and spying, at least Soundwave does.

Hell, I took BOTH of those reasons from the original G1 cartoon, too.

As for which series to watch, if you're taking G1 out of the running, that pretty much leaves Robots In Disguise or The Unicron Trilogy(Armada, Energon Cybertron). If you're not a fan of Anime or Japanese animated conventions, then you're SOL, as they're both Japanese shows translated into English and have them extensively.

I have no problem with anime.

I think this game looks REAL good! But I'm going fer Black Ops and Get this game a lil' cheaper.
