What amazing end to a long-standing gamer rumor-fodder surprised you more: The fact that Games Workshop finally made new Dark Eldar models or that Duke Nukem forever will actually be released?

I'm just waiting for the Duke to go back on the shelf, to be dusted off in another 10 years

I have to say that I was half expecting the DE to eventually get dropped.

There's no option for "I knew both happened but X surprised me more."

Our only options are "I didn't know X happened," "I didn't know Y happened," "I expected both," "I didn't expect either," and "I have no idea what's going on I'm so high right now"

My answer (though I voted "I didn't expect either") was something along the lines of "the Dark Eldar didn't surprise me too much, but Duke Nukem Forever made me do a double-take when I saw the announcement."

Sometimes a poll can have too many options. I think with something fun like this it is best to keep it down to the bare essentials (IMHO).

I put Duke Nukem Forever surprised me more because back in February a GW staff member had told me that while at Warhammer World he had (by chance) seen a designer with a tray of DE three-ups and resin models. He had also said that DE would be getting a release later in the year, probably November/December

So I was pretty certain we would be seeing DE models this year. Duke Nukem Forever getting a release date, I had to read the line three times before it clicked.

Got to be Duke Nukem since it was pretty much a last minute decision it wasnt going to go under

I was definitely more surprised about Duke Nukem Forever. I was pretty sure a New Dark Eldar line was going to be released eventually, and the signs were starting to look pretty strong that it would happen soon.

I had basically forgotten about Duke Nukem Forever, on the other hand. I remember reading a cool preview of it in Computer Gaming World magazine in like 1999. I honestly thought the project had been permanently scrapped years ago.

I interpreted the first two options more as "I had no idea the Dark Eldar actually had new models," and "I had no idea that Duke Nukem Forever is actually being released," rather than "the fact that Dark Eldar has new models/Duke Nukem Forever is being released surprised me more [than the opposite]."

That's how they read, anyway.

Isn't Duke Nukem a DE character? He's got a range 18" Str 7 AP2 Assault 50 weapon and +938 attacks on the charge. If Duke Nukem is in your army Hawt Babes count as Troops Choices.

The Duke's return stunned me, especially since me and a couple of buddies were discussing it the day before it was revealed to the world. We agreed that it would never see the light of day. Then GAGOOSCH! Nukem to the face!

If this game isn't X-Rated though, it won't count in my opinion as a Nukem game. <,<

I think that given enough time GW will continue to release updated products forever and ever as long as they exist as a company.
