Mattieu~~~~ It's not that eldar are bad, it's that they require a lot of intergration between units. Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

With DE...just my opinion...we have 'reliable' rumors that we are getting 4 more plastic kits and more metal characters. These all will be out by June-ish.
GW seems to be working on a quarterly schedule.
So in business speak - that means we have two QTR's of releases. Assuming there are no production issues and everything is ready...I'd imagine we'll see a DE release in 1st QTR...meaning February/March (my bet is March)...and another release 2nd QTR...so June as it fufills the original rumor. The June one 'most' likely coincides with the the rumor of Summer of Flyers'...so the plastic heavy flyer kit.

July- Inquisition (witch Hunters and Daemon Hunters As One Army)
Isn't some of this contrary to what is now considered the conventional wisdom on upcoming releases, specifically for Grey Knights? Also, the word "definitely" is misspelled with an "a" in it and the word "angels" is misspelled multiple times in this thread as "angles". Necrons are indeed in a way the new Dark Eldar in that based on how their current Codex is designed there will be a MAJOR overhaul of their book and a lot more plastic minis coming down the road. With the substantive effort required to bring that range and book up to current standards I wouldn't expect it to be done quickly. The new Dark Eldar prove that when GW takes the time to do something right, it's worth waiting for it.

No, I'm sure he's talking about the Blood Angles, with Chapter Master Pythogoras and all that. You know, the one with the Power Ruler and the Storm Protractor.

Pah! I want decent Night Runners/Gutter Runners, a Rat Ogre kit to match the ones in the Island of Blood, new Giant Rats and Plague Monks/Plague Censer Bearers that look like the current range. Then I might be happy, but a good Grey Seer that doesn't neccessitate pruchasing a Screaming Bell would be cool.

I do want a Necron redo, but I am willing to wait for them to Deldarify it and do it right. I'm just starting my army now and will take a good year to paint up what I have between everything else I have going on. I just hope they don't redo the warriors from scratch and make me feel like I wasted my time on crappy old models

The blue shirt in my FLGS said the release schedule should run as - Warhammer, 40K, LOTR, Warhammer, 40K, Warhammer, 40K, 40K. From what he was saying it sounds like they may be wrapping up the LOTR stuff as no-one's interested in it anymore. Maybe the'll rethink after the Hobbit comes out?

I believe that LOTRSBG may be moving to online support only in the near future like Necomunda, Bloodbowl etc due to lack of interest and what a lot of people deem as overly complicated rules especially when compared to WOTR. However WOTR is staying put for the forseeable future as far as I'm aware.
On the subject of LOTR, have any of you guys been to my store to see Aragorns sword? There are only 2 in the world and Viggo Mortenson has the other (the one which the elves reforged after it was shattered), our GW store won a comp and we now have it in a case on display. It's an amazing looking thing!

Without getting into describing bad business practice and such like, there will never, ever, be an official confirmed release schedule because it instantly devalues the curent line of models as everyone waits for the new stuff.

Well, we know it's skaven in Jan, and BA in feb... that's clear at least. It would avoid these pretty useless threads popping up every other week... and they are only useless because A - There are already multiple threads adressing the topic's question individually and globally, and B - I always laugh at someone asking a forum full of news and rumor mini nerds if they heard any news and rumors is a bit pointless right off the bat. We would definitely be discussing it.
For crissakes, people caught the Chibi-hawk pattern SR pic in the 1 hour it was up and put it up instantly... there is speculation of what is coming out all the way up til next edition. Why in the world would someone here know something they are willing/able to talk about and then not mention it until someone asked lol.
A sticky would be helpful, even if it was only an indicator of current release rumors, both very short term confirmed stuff, and longer term speculative stuff.
