my interest in Dark Heresy was just peaked again today, and I discovered a character generator. I decided to give it a go (picking what I thought sounded the best as I have no real knowledge of the game) and came up with this

I rolled up a Nobleborn Assassin with WS and AG40.

Not a bad start.

Just took a look at the book and from what I can tell I think it is not too bad haha.

Looks good for a scum career starting off. From my experience if you get in with a campaign you'll be really wanting to get something better than 2 armour points. Even 3 makes a big difference for your characters survival. And from what we've (group I'm in) encountered medicae treatment doesn't always work out to your benefit.. Our scum character tried to get treatment for his wounds and the backstreet medicae nearly killed him twice.

I find having a toughness of 30+ is mandatory in the game, switch a stat around to make it so. Otherwise it's not bad.

Actually I have dark skin and was creating the character as a exaggerated heroic scifi version of myself thank you.

Well, something that generator doesn't allow you to do, but the book does, is to reroll one of your ability scores, like, for example, you toughness. Also, the most important value for many of them is the digit in the tens place. Like, the 29 for toughness is terrible. It has a bonus of 2, but if it was one measly point higher, you get 3. That is an extra point of damage you don't take every time you are hit. Although your weapon skill kicks ass, and at least you're not a psycher so the chances of your head exploding are greatly reduced (but you are still going to die horribly for the future is grim and dark and bloody).
