The red shoulder pads were Brown Inked. Im debating if I should get rid of the shine or not. I used combinations of badab black wash devilan mud and brown ink.

The hair and flesh look awsome in my opinion... Also the servo armor!
but I too think you should use some matt varnish on the shoulder pads, they'll look better without that shinyness.
