Okay so my SH has been sat there for 16 months unpainted, well I've played tonnes of games but not painted anything apart from a tester model (SM Captain in termi armour) and i picked up James Swallow's BA Omnibus the other day and suddenly i was back on Dakka and digging out my termi's.
I've started on the Dead marine first, and i've already got the shade/base coat on two of the brothers in an attempt to start the production line going.

I've not painted in an awfully long time so i hope these turn out all right, but i guess the main idea behind this thread is to get me motivated to post regularly and get the huge amount of models i have finally finished!
being somewhat strapped for cash after Christmas i decided that i really do have enough un-painted, un-opened stuff to open my own small GW store so its about time i either sold it or painted it. as i hate selling off awesome stuff i'll paint most of it. may still sell some older models mind.

Anyhoo, here is the tester, i really must apologize for the bad light it was a quick snapshot with my phone, there's an old wip of his armour on there too, first time i'd ever done BA armour, i'll be revisiting his power sword with some of the techniques I've recently spotted here on Dakka and i'll get a decent pic of him up tonight.

Thanks
Pete

Decided to do a regular power armoured marine as a 1st company Vet, had the 1999 GD model knocking around doing nowt so i thought he'd do.

just the base red for these guys except the dead chap, i've touched up and i'm going to add black striping to both the green and yellow cables.
then i'll finish the gems and skulls and add grubbyness.

Ooookay, long time no paint, however a little while back i decided to get off my arse and paint something, turns out i had a hankerin for bretonnians.

i've been painting away so i thought i'd post some stuff up.

First is my first completed unit of the new Men at Arms. i rather like em, i oddly followed the GW colour scheme for these using catachen green and shadow grey, for the leather though i used vermin brown with a devlan mud wash.

and a decent pic with an actual camera not a 1am shot with my phone.

Current WIP's include my first peg knight.

Also on the table is my first unit of the new KOTR, led by Baron Odo D'Outremer

I'm doing them as Hospitallers (12th/13th C) in the black, i've actually finished the caparisons on the horses so i'll get a wip up tonight.
just had another 16 M@A arrive and i'm picking up 12 old metal M@A with spears this weekend to go with some i already have for my Hospitaller spear armed sergeants
