Blue feathers make these models. Awesome contrast. Did you wash the bodies at all?

I was thinking the same thing. It's a striking contrast of a strong color next to muted colors, but not so striking as to overpower the model.

I'd say skip the grass. The bases look perfect without it.

They really look good. The blue hair locks and the skin go perfectly with each other. I'd agree with the bases though, they are fine as they are.

The faces are also really well done. They have a nice grim look to them, how is the bunker coming along?

Thanks for the positive feedback. It's good to know I'm not just spinning my wheels sometimes.

The skin was washed. It was a layer of that old magic in a bottle, Devlan Mud over Khemri Brown.
I'd say skip the grass. The bases look perfect without it.
It'll just be a few small tufts of static grass on each base, I won't be covering the whole bases. They kind of need to match my Firewarriors' bases.
The faces are also really well done. They have a nice grim look to them, how is the bunker coming along?
Thanks, I tried like hell to keep the work really subtle on the faces and not go overboard. The Nerd Bunker is going slowly, unfortunately, but I'm still plugging away.
Thanks for all of the comments!

I would highlight them once more, a little more extreme... To bring them alive and make the brown suit the blue better, because I think brown is also a flat colour on itself.
And I'm a fan of bone beaks but that's really just me ofcourse
I really like the blue and the bases though. Keep it up for sure!
EDIT: after taking another look, maybe it's better to highlight the blue at the tops. I don't know, I just feel they are missing something... Maybe it's because you used basic red, blue and yellow. Maybe use a shaded/lighter variant of those colors, or warmer yellow/red tones? Somehow I think they look unfinished.
The painting is great, but the colours are... well... weerd. Gotta love the dusty metal effect though!

Very nice. I love Kroot and I think this is one of the better schemes I've seen. It makes me want to start a Kroot as Dark Eldar army.

Thanks!
The blue quills are: coated in GW Liche Purple, then a second coat of GW Ultramarine Blue from the halfway point out to the tips, doing a little bit of fading when possible. The decorations are GW Blazing Orange.
