I have a problem. I know this. And now, now I have to deal with it.

I came back to the hobby a few months ago, and I swore that I would keep it under control this time. "Just 40K," I said to myself, "a nice, tidy space marine army. Nothing more. Oh, wow, these raveners look pretty awesome!" And, just like the last time, it spiraled out of control. Some nice trades on the Swap Shop beefed up the armies I was looking at, as well as sparked another look at the Fantasy Battle side of things, which - in turn - meant MORE stuff. Now, I'm faced with a veritable mountain of miniatures, all demanding attention. Now, I'm faced with Mission Impossible.

I want to paint it all.

This blog is just a way to track the progress of my trying to get all these miniatures painted, based, and table ready. It will include a little something for everybody, from (poor) conversions and (mediocre painting) to the tangential things like custom movement trays and a modular table. There might even be a few articles illustrating the hilarity of me trying to scratch build models like drop pods and mangler squigs. The armies are (more or less) finished, so now it's just a matter of getting them dressed and ready for battle. None of these are going to bring home a slayer sword, or even really get noticed at all, but it'll be important to ME to know they're all painted. I'm going for consistency and a unified "feel" within each army over having any one particularly noticeable model. Maybe when I'm done with this, I'll have the skills to actually consider a showpiece.

This page will always have the most current image of the armies, as well as links to any pertinent posts I might have other places (battle reports, WIP photos, and so on).

Good luck. I am looking forward to pics. What's a Mangler Squig? Is it a new official squig type in the new armybook, or some old fluffy kind of squig? I have't seen the new armybook yet.

Pics should be up tomorrow, if all goes well.

Mangler squigs are new type in the upcoming book. The best way to describe it is as a gigantic night goblin fanatic in squig form.
