Everyone else was either predominantly useless (but otherwise interesting, mainly Mordin here, due to his fragility and lack of DPS), not too interesting (but useful in game, like Grunt, Ashley, Miranda, Tali in ME1), both (Tali in ME2, Jakob, Kaiden), or showed up sufficiently late that I already had a team that worked well in any situation without the general awesome to work anyways, and so didn't get used enough/at all (pretty much everyone after horizon except for Legion; Samara/Morinth and Thane seem like they have potential, but by the time they show up I have a team that works and has unlocked all their abilities; generally Miranda for the team damage boost and overload, and Zaeed or Grunt for DPS and resilience). Legion makes up for only showing up in the third to last mission by being a talking Geth that carries an antitank rifle.

Its exposition also singlehandedly casts the Geth in an entirely new light, and solidly turns me against the Quarians, whom I already disliked because of their inane fluff (I have yet to see anyone manage to explain how "fatally allergic to everything because SPACESHIPS!" makes the least bit of sense, even in the context of the setting; the fluff revealed in the first game sort of made sense, in the context of generations in a sterile environment, but the second game turns around and shoots that all to hell by having them living in their suits constantly, even when on their own ships, something they'd only have had to do if they'd started doing that for exactly no reason...).

Yeah I can see where you are coming from on the Quarian suit situation. My only hope is they where in the suits due to Shepard being present, and on Tali's father's ship because of the presence of Geth technology.

Although I admit, it most likely they just couldn't decide what Quarians look like so left them in the suits to save time and the hassle of designing them.

i can't explain why but i found legion to be the coolest character.

There's dialogue to the effect of them being unable to be unsuited in eachother's presence without getting sick, even when breeding and dealing with their young, who have to be raised in bubbles until they can wear the suits. Also dialogue that has them assuming being back on their homeworld would magically fix that, although that's more likely just their own misinterpretation of the situation.

There's also a post on the bioware forums by a writer/designer/whatever who worked on them, that amounted to a rambling piece of Art Major Biology about their immune systems actually aggressively attacking any foreign objects in their system, effectively producing a potentially fatal allergic reaction, which made them make a whole lot less sense than ME1's sterile environment leading to weakened immune systems, and the implications that they didn't wear the suits when on sterile ships in the fleet. That made sense, in a "it's entirely their fault for maintaining too sterile an environment, but that sort of OCD behavior is understandable" kind of way.


Then again, it's not like they haven't shown themselves ready to randomly retcon things for little to no reason, like the thermal clips and their "every weapon ever was retrofitted to this new, radically inferior system that doesn't actually do what its fluff claims", so who knows how Quarians will end up in the final game's fluff...

Being a fan of the Quarians i hope they are in the next mass effect.

Legion, then Tali. The Geth-Quarian conflict is extremely interesting to me, and I am really on the side of the Geth at this point, after learning that they aren't all heretics.

Wrex was my favourite. I liked the backstory with the Krogan population control and his afflictions as the game progresses.

Miranda and Jacob in ME2 were so blah. The old lady in the Normandy had much more character.

If you think Jacob is dull, do his romance plot. Best dialogue ever.

My favorite quote would have to be "This is all Joker's fault! What a tool he was! I have to spend all day computing Pi because he plugged in the Overlord!"

i cant wait for ME3 to the ME's are the best games ive ever played.

She reminded me of Tank Girl (even down to her voice actor), which is a good thing. Also, I felt a lot of sympathy for her character (especially when I was doing her personal mission), she was powerful as hell, and she always had something hilarious to say when you did something evil.

I really do hope they put Zaeed back in ME3

I honestly have a hard time with this one, as I made an effort to spend as much time conversing with every character in both games to get as full character development as was available, not to mention doing all the loyalty missions in ME2.

So I'd probably have to say it'd be a pool of Mordin, Garrus, Jack, Grunt, Wrex, Legion, Tali, Jacob, Miranda, and Liara.
