Yep, good My piece of advice though: try to be a bit lighter on the amount of paint you apply, to avoid the "blob" effect
And consider getting some dark wash, or making it yourself (not that difficult), it will bring some magic to your painting :p

Hes pretty good. But a lot can be done here with just a few simple things, try to add some washes to the bone and armor to bring more depth to the model. Also I would consider to thin down the paint you use, some of it seems kinda chunky. I noticed you have more of a drybrush style you are going for, I would try to use less paint on the brush. Over all I think with just a few tweeks he can look even better. Happy painting!

You need more effective layering methinks, you kind of get away with it on the main body but the trim just looks out of place... you should put a darker blue down and then layer and highlight above that with progressively lighter tones.
You may want to thin your paints a tad too, looks like they were performing a little clunkily.
On the bright side, your power weapon looks better than anything I have ever produced

Thanks for the comments, I'll try to slightly dilute my paints with water form now on. Also, I'll post in your conversion thread Sam.

Thin your paints, use a color wheel, shade your models to give them depth. Keep painting.

All I can say is use a smaller brush and try to keep your hand still when painting.
Its very messy. You got green on his gun and the base coat (black) is still showing under the green.
sorry to be harsh but you do need alot of practice. i personally is not a proffessional paint nor had lots of experince but the only 2 models I painted had attracted alot of attension in my local Games workshop for no apparent reason what so ever. I think they looked rubbish but people thought they were amazing for one simple reason. They were very clean and tidy and sharp. basicly detailed, I did not try to do fancy high lighting just the basic colour and a wash but I spent 4-5 hours on a model just to get all the paints nice and tidy.
If you can spend more time and make it tidy it should look good no matter what.

Looks good. Try chucking some washes on the armour (green wash on green armour, blue on blue armour etc etc).
it will add a lot of depth and definistion to the model.
