I'm just starting to get back into the world of mini's and wargaming. In the distant past, I played using the Chainmail rules and I was the one the D&D group wanted to paint everything. Skip ahead to now, and my son started showing interest in Warhammer. So, we're getting into it; him for the first time and me after a looooooong break (damn near pre-warhammer). After much deliberation, he likes High Elves and Necrons, I like Beastmen and Space Wolves. He's much further ahead of me on getting his armies because I'm a good dad.

I was thinking of going Blood Angels, and even had a good bit bought, but then I went and read the Space Wolves codex and fell in lust with them...so the BA stuff is in the resell case at the game store, and I'm waiting for some space wolf stuff to appear.

I'm spending way too much time on ebay...and also starting to scan a couple forums 'for sale/trade' sections.

So, off to look for more stuff to buy and read up on figuring out a quicker method for painting. Thinking grey primer and the army painter quickshade for most of it.

Just an FYI: Rumors are that Necrons will be getting a new codex later this year (Novemberish) that should come with a whole ton of new models. So, you may not want to go overboard on them just yet (and, you know what to do for your Christmas shopping
