Hi everyone!
I started collecting Eldar in 2008. They are really my favourite army because they have no militaristic restrictions in their look.
Many years ago, when I first saw Eldar in DoW, I thought that they are egg-headed methane-breathing reptiloids but they actually are elves. Space elves. Or elves in space.
I started with Eldar Battleforce, Avatar of Khaine and a Fire Prism.
Eldar Battleforce:
Unfortunately, the kit doesn't contain jungle plants and Webway portals shown on the picture - the old IG Battleforce came with a set of Gothic ruins.
Unlike my IG colours, the Eldar colour scheme was pretty simple to develop. The basic colour for my army was Liche Purple. The weapons were painted Shining Gold. I used Blood Red and Warlock Purple for soulstones and Chaos Black and Mithril Silver for details.
Here is my first collection (finished in March 2008):
The Gothic ruins (yet unpainted) came from the old IG battleforce.
The bare-headed Guardian reminds me Shaggy from Scooby-Doo so I called him Shaggiel :
The Wave Serpent Troop Carrier:
The Fire Prism Grav Tank:
Here I will sum up the points of my collection (I didn't do this for IG because the lack of the junior officer):
HQ
Avatar of Khaine - 155 pts
Troops
5 Dire Avengers, Exarch with power weapon and shimmershield - 87 pts
Wave Serpent, shuriken cannon and twin-linked bright lances - 145 pts
10 Guardians, grav platform with scatter laser - 95 pts
Heavy Fire Support
Fire Prism - 115 pts
War Walker, bright lance and Eldar missile launcher - 80 pts
TOTAL: 677 points
P.S. I didn't count Exarch abilities and vehicle upgrades

The first reinforcements have arrived!
Firstly, Farseer Petriel, the Eldar who gave me my nick, joined the Warhost in April 2008:
Sadly enough, the trianglar symbol on Farseer's staff was broken during transportation, and I had to solder it back. The large round purple stone on the staff is the work of soldering.
The Eldar ruins are made from various Eldar bitz.
I have bought the Autarch on jetbike on the Games Day Moscow 2008. Then I had three commanders in my army, so I used Autarch in games without special characters.
The old version of Autarch Erestril (July 2008):
And this is how he looks now:
I gave him master-crafted golden armour and painted his hair black as I was tired of blonde Elves/Eldar. Later he gained violet eyes.
The whole army with commanders:
And here are the points (I didn't count Farseers' psychic powers as they are invisible on the model):
HQ
Autarch, Eldar jetbike, fusion gun - 110 pts
Farseer, singing spear - 58 pts

Hello again!
Now I'll tell you about next installments in my Eldar army.
First of all, this is my Green Stuff Gyrinx, made in September 2008.
The Gyrinx is a cat-like creature used by psykers as a familiar. They were a type of creature in Rogue Trader and were meant to be a pet type creature for psyker characters, including humans and Eldar, which supported its companion by augmenting any psychic abilities the owner possessed. The Gyrinx was also capable of combat, but was relatively weak.
Gyrinx WIP:
This is the first version of Gyrinx painjob. It's black and white as I suppose there are differently coloured Gyrinx, like usual cats from Terra.
The final version of Gyrinx, with enhanced eyes and added whiskers (2011):
I named him Murzion after my house cat Murz (rest in peace ):
Next will be the Fire Dragons, added in December 2008:
The whole Warhost with Gyrinx and Fire Dragons:
This is the last pict of two Grav Tanks both having their bases...
An the last is the Warlock - the first and really Eldar (you'll later understand why ) Warlock (he joined the Warhost in July 2009). For the first time he was an ordinary Warlock commander of the Guardians, but later he joined Petriel's Seer Council.
Here he fights with Stormtroopers from the 1st Zecaris regiment:
Die, Mon-keigh!
In conclusion, let's sum up the points:
ELITES
6 Fire Dragons, Exarch with fire pike - 116 pts
TROOPS
10 Guardians, grav platform with scatter laser (95 pts) + Warlock with singing spear (28 pts) - 123 pts
It's such a pity, but there is no Gyrinx in the Eldar Codex, so I can use Murzion only as a decoration for my Farseer
Thanks!

Hi everyone!
 Let the Winter Assault begin!
The fourth wave of Eldar reinforcements was bought in November 2009 and finished in December 2009. Those were the Vyper, the Wraithlord and Guardians on Eldar jetbikes.
I didn't have any experience of shooting in winter prior to that, but the results were impressive:
The Vyper with starcannon:
Notice that giant alien snowflake on the front armour:
I painted the Vyper's stones in new for the army Snot Green and Hawk Turqoise tones. The crew suits were also redesigned and became Warlock Purple.
The Wraithlord, the once fallen hero of the dying race:
The Lord's helmet is painted Skull White with gloss varnish. Notice the Farseer with his Gyrinx on the background.
I wanted to decorate the Wraithlord with as many stones and gems as I can and used many colours, from regular Blood Red and Warlock Purple to Hawk Turqoise and Bad Moon Yellow to do that. The Eldar rune on his back is done with Shining Gold, as the brightlance and flamers. Also I decided no to cut the ball on Wraithlord's left shoulder (it was made by GW for an extra weapon) and painted it Shining Gold.
And finally, the Guardians on jetbikes:
I painted the jetbikes like the one owned by Autarch Erestril, but without golden edges and a huge symbol on the front armour. The Guardians' suits are Warlock Purple. I didn't add the flags because they looked stupid. Also I painted the fuel container on Autarch's fusion gun yellow.
The army reload:
The points spent:
TROOPS
3 Guardians on jetbikes - 66 pts
FAST ATTACK (this is the first my Fast Attack model)
Vyper, starcannon - 70 pts
HEAVY FIRE SUPPORT
Wraithlord, hand flamers, wraithsword, bright lance - 140 pts
Enjoy!

Hi Dakka!
Today I'll talk about Eldar elite infantry.
I got Howling Banshees and Warp Spiders on Games Day Moscow 2010 in June and painted and photographed them in July 2010.
I really don't like metal (primarchium ) models because some of them are very nasty to assemble. I had to use soldering again to connect Banshees' arms to their bodies.
The piece of battlefield in its entirety:
Howling Banshees:
I wanted to give my Banshees a really unusual look, so I didn't use traditional Banshee colours and painted them Warlock Purple and their hair Vermin Brown (in mythology, banshees are witches so their hair should be red).
The Exarch:
She jumps off the helmet once belonged to a Blood Raven Space Marines (I hate Blood Ravens even more than other SM, even more than the Ultramarines ). Her hair is painted Chaos Black with Shining Gold drybrush and her mask is painted Shining Gold.
A Warp Spider:
Here I didn't use the traditional Aspect colour too and painted my Warp Spiders Liche Purple, with Blood Red backpacks, Skull White helmets and Dwarf Bronze cannons.
The Exarch:
He has some drops of blood on his helmet like the Exarch from the Dawn of War 2 cutscene:
And finally, the points:
ELITES:
6 Howling Banshees, Exarch with executioner - 118 pts (I also gave them my old Wave Serpent)
FAST ATTACK:
5 Warp Spiders, Exarch with two death spinners and powerblades - 132 pts
Comments and criticism are welcome!
Thanks!

Hello again!
Here I'll tell you why my first Warlock is the only true-Eldar one. In my country, it's hard to find other Warlock models than the one shown above, and I decided that although Eldar are rather technologically advanced, they will never make Warlocks simply by cloning . So I bought High Elf models and used them for my Seer Council which was finished in December 2010:
This Warlock is made from the plastic High Elf Mage. I gave him a holster with laspistol from the Baneblade kit and disguised it as a shuriken pistol . And of course, I changed his square base to a round one:
This Warlock is actually metal Caradryan without any changes. He wields the "witch axe" which counts as a witch blade:
You already know the third Warlock. Perhaps he is the most boring member of the Council .
Farseer Petriel (revamped, with white eyes, repainted stones and golden lines and stars on his cloak) with his Gyrinx Murzion and the Seer Council of Craftworld Mireira. The obelisk piece is made from the Mage's square base and his obelisk. Fear the judgement of the Council!
And finally, how did I use the mounted High Elf Mage from the kit? Of course, I made him a Warlock on "jetsteed", who counts as a jetbike!
The Warlock has a Dire Avenger torso painted purple with golden shoulder pads. I used the Mage's staff as a Singing spear and I gave him a pistol holster from the Baneblade kit. Sadly enough, the model doesn't have shuriken catapults but I believe that the horse shoots shurikens from its eyes ! The Eldar ruins piece was made using the Mage's base and Eldar bitz.
Autarch Erestril leads his jetbike squadron through the frozen wastes of a very far ice planet:
The Warhost with Seer Council and Warlock on jetsteed:
All the models were revamped. The faces were repainted and gained eyes and eyebrows.
Avatar of Khaine (sorry for writings in Russian - the pictures were made long time ago for Russian audience):
Farseer Petriel:
Dire Avengers:
Guardians (with Shaggiel who is not Shaggiel any more ):
War Walker:
The points:
HQ
Farseer, singing spear (58 pts) +3 Warlocks, 2 singing spears (81 pts) - 139 pts
TROOPS
10 Guardians, grav platform with scatter laser = 95 pts (the Warlock has left this squadron because he got his promotion )
3 Guardians on jetbikes (66 pts) + Warlock on jetbike, singing spear (48 pts) - 114 pts
Comments and criticism are welcome!
Enjoy!

Greetings, and may Eldanesh be with you!
Today I'll present my new Fire Prism, prepared for war in January 2011:
I had already the old Fire Prism so I assume that the new Prism was designed and developed in the late M41.
The old Prism for comparison:
The Eldar have learned for 10000 years how to make sleeker tanks. Also the new Prism has vector and star engines on it.
As for the pilots, I gave them new-design Warlock Purple uniform and alien-looking purple and green hair (perhaps it's simply a hair dye )
On the battlefield, one Prism can enhance another Prism's shot, and it's very effective against the IG tanks such as Leman Russ and Baneblade.
Points:
HEAVY FIRE SUPPORT
Fire Prism, shuriken cannon, vector engines, star engines - 160 pts
Comments and criticism are welcome!
Thanks!

Hi Dakka!
Today it's air time!
Let me introduce my Razor... Nightwing!
I always wanted some Apocalypse model for my Eldar - for example, a Scorpion tank or a Vampire Raider or at least Nightwing. But unfortunately, it's quite hard to purchase Forge World models in Russia , so I decided to make a Nightwing from a Dark Eldar Razorwing GW plastic kit.
Below I'll give pros and cons of both Nightwing and Razorwing:
PROS:
Nightwing:
+It IS the Nightwing
+changeable wings
+resin cast
Razorwing:
+very reminiscent of Nightwing
+can be easily purchased in Russia
+has a hole for flying stem
CONS:
Nightwing:
-very hard to purchase in Russia
-rather expensive
-doesn't have a hole for flying stem
Razorwing:
-a bit different design
-static wings
-somewhat sharp edges
I made my Nightwing in August 2011, Here it is:
To make shuriken catapults I've cut the spikes on twin-linked splinter rifle (this is the only change I've made to the model). Dark lances stand as bright lances (they have even identical stats). Also my Nightwing has non-canon missiles - I thought it looks much better with them.
The cockpit close up:
Fortunately, the pilot does not look like a psychopathic sadist and even has a soulstone (I don't know why, he is a Dark Eldar). And I like his round helmet, painted Shining Gold.
The top view:
The colour scheme and symbols makes Razorwing look like Craftworld Eldar vehicle.
The flying base was designed as a crashed Imperial Guard Leman Russ Exterminator:
I used various bitz from the Leman Russ kit and a nova cannon from the Baneblade kit.
Nightwing with the new Fire Prism:
Could you say that it's the Dark Eldar vehicle?
Nightwing with Valkyrie:
It's created to intercept enemy aircraft with wing-mounted bright lances on the battlefield :
Due to its absence in current Eldar Codex, I can't use it in 40k games. But I can still use either Apocalypse rules or Razorwing rules from Dark Eldar Codex.
Apocalypse version:
BS F S R
4 10 10 10
twin-linked shuriken catapults, two bright lances
Cost: 285 pts
Slightly modified Dark Eldar version:
BS F S R
4 10 10 10
twin-linked shuriken catapults, two bright lances, four Eldar missiles (optional)
Cost: 145 pts
A small bonus: Eldar Support Weapon platform assembled in August 2011 too:
The crewman:
The crew have heads from High Elf Mage plastic kit to distinguish them from other Guardians in my army.
Eldar took a benefit position on the hill to destroy the marching Imperial Guard force:
Points for support platform:
HEAVY FIRE SUPPORT
Support platform, D-cannon - 50 pts
Comments and criticism are only welcome!
Thanks!

Hi Dakka!
Today I've gone Quickshading!
I've treated my infantry with Army Painter Quickshade varnish. I didn't quickshade vehicles, Eldar jetbikes and large terrain pieces.
I put my minis with medical forceps into the can of Quickshade and hold it for a while:
Then I take my soldier out and wait for waste drops of Quickshade to fall down:
Work in progress:
Sadly, my Imperial Guard Heavy Weapon Teams can't be put into the small can, so I'll quickshade them with brush, like vehicles.
A close-up of newly-treated troops:
The work is compete, with my infantry shining and glittering:
The largest miniature possible to be quickshaded was the Eldar Support Weapon.
I've quickshaded the following units in my army:
ELDAR
Avatar of Khaine
Seer Council (with Gyrinx)
Warlock on "jetsteed"
Howling Banshees
Fire Dragons
Guardians (with scatter laser platform)
Dire Avengers
Warp Spiders
Support Weapon
IMPERIAL GUARD
Command HQ
Commissar Yarrick
Stormtroopers
Ratlings
Infantry Platoon (except Heavy Weapons Teams)
Veterans
TERRAIN
Pieces of ancient Eldar ruins
Comments and criticism are welcome!
Thanks!

Hello Dakka!
I haven't been collecting Warhammer 40000 miniatures for two years but now I decided to get a Wraithknight for my Eldar army.
So, here it is:
This mighty war construct is walking through dead forest with some Eldar ruins. Currently the work is in progress, I haven't painted the Waithknight yet. I'll paint it purple like the rest of my Eldar army, with red soulstones and golden cannons. The ruins will be white.
And this is the size comparison with my Wraithlord and Farseer with Murzion the Gyrinx:
There are more images in my gallery:

Hello again!
At last my Wraithknight is painted and ready for war. Here it is ready to deliver death to a distant Imperial agri-world:
Unfortunately, I had many work to do and could finish the Wraithknight only now, but finally you can behold it in all its glory:
This is the same place where I took photos of my Baneblade. I can hardly wait to see the fight between these giants.
The Wraithknight has a golden helm with white blank plate on its face. Its Soul Stone is a sparkling emerald.
On its back it has a spirit seal to protect a living pilot from the restless Eldar spirits that haunt the Wraithknight.
The Wraithknight's back is full of gems and jewels. Eldar like to be luxurious.
The base is decorated with dead branches and some Eldar ruins made from Wraithknight bitz. Also I've implied some grass.
Wraihtknight walking on the plains:
Fighting with the Giant Space Cat Out Of Nowhere:
The cat didn't like Wraithknight's heavy wraithcannons and brought it to the ground:
They like to rest at the tavern after the fight:
And finally, one WIP image:
The photos of the whole Eldar army including the Wraithknight are yet to appear. Also I plan to retcon some of my Craftworld's backstory.
