So, after "properly" starting Warhammer I decided that it would be a good idea to find a nice little community where I can steal idea's and learn new things from and...this is it! 
I've just started collecting Tau - They look awesome, they're shooty and they can hop about like bunnies on steriods! - Slowly putting together an army and painting them. First purchase was over £90 worth of Tau goodies.
I'm not "new" as such to 40k, I've been following it for a while and even played a few of the side games ( Necromunda! ). My hobby box is filled with goodies from First edition Termies and Catchan fighters to some of the newer models! Think I even have a few Necrons hiding somewhere...
I've done a bit of "modelling" such as building props for the battlefield ( Few dead imps/weapons ) so I've got a good grasp of the game/hobby stuffsh!
So, yeah! That's about it!

Welcome to Dakka!
Make sure to poke around some of the painting and modeling guides. Also, don't hesitate to ask questions. This site has really improved my painting (still working on the modeling).

I'm fine with painting - My uncle has a 10,000pt Dark Angel army all pretty much from first edition - So I've learnt a lot off him. I've been doing a lot of drybrush layering and then applying a wash for most of the models - works a charm. Especially on high detailed models. ( Or at least I've found it to be! )

Thanks for the welcomes everyone!
Once I get a decent camera, I'll start a Blog/WIP of my Tau army and of the various other models I have ( Imperial Guard, Space Marines, Necrons ). Hopefully the critique from here should be able to improve either my painting - New techniques would always be appreciated - or my modelling!
