Fresh-Faced New User

Greetings fellow gamers. Having just been introduced to the wonderful world of Warhammer 40k I thought this would be a good place to start. A friend introduced me to the game, although I had seen GW stores the last time I was back in England (every High Street if I remember right) in the 90's. So at 40 something it's time for a new hobby! Alas, Taiwan is not exactly awash with (English speaking) players, although we do have a pretty good shop nearby that stocks GW stuff. I bought AoBR and have stated to paint it using a lot of advice I have found here, so thanks all round.

Welcome, started with 2 sets of that ourselves. My wife and I are into 40K and Warmachine now.
What are you painting, how.... marines ... chapter...
hope it's going well.
I feel you on "handy players", my main opponent is my wife as we now live in a very rural area... going to try to get some local friends into it, even if I have to collect ALL the models *****evil laughs *****
It's addicting, like anything fun!
Look into Warmachine, got a nice 2-player intro box out now... FUN GAME... WELCOME TO DAKKA
