A Skull at the Throne of Khorne

Great Field of Bone

Firstly,
I'm a longtime forum troll and a brand new member [ here, some of you may know me from Heresy ]. I hold a Plog on several other sites, but for some reason I was a late comer to Dakka. That being said. I'm glad to finally be here.

I sincerely believe that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. I have "borrowed" several ideas from many a great painter and conversionist all across the web and have added them into my current World Eaters project. I like to give credit where credit is due. If someone inspires me, I proudly give them the honours deserved for the inspiration.

Be forewarned, I am a glacially slow painter and I consider myself a somewhat above average conversionist. I'll post up a bit of my completed work and the current WIP stuff I've got waiting, so you can see what I'm on about.

For my maiden Plog thread, I humbly submit my work below for your C&C. Enough prattle, here come the pics.

Berzerkers Squad #1

Plasma Zerks Squad #1

Skull Champion w/ PF option

Skull Champion "Beastzerker" w/ PW option

Berzerkers Squad #2

Plasma Zerks Squad #2

Skull Champion w/ PF option

Skull Champion "Beastzerker" w/ PW option

Kharn the Betrayer Conversion [ inspired by tim over @ vanus temple ]

That's what I've got painted so far. I make all squads with 2 PP options and a PF & a PW option for my skull champions so I have choices.

Looking forward to seeing what you guys have to say.

Thank you very much. I'm glad you like them.

I have an in depth tutorial with tons of pics I'll have to migrate over here if there is enough interest in how I did them. My initial goal was to represent the old Rogue Trader SOC days when the Dark Gods gifted their followers with gifts in the form of mutations. I was planning on converting one for each of my 8 Berzerker squads with PF and PW options, or possibly use them as a unit of chosen. A friend on another forum has challenged me to make a whole army of them. That however is a very costly option. As it takes a Bestigor and a Berzerker to make them, as well as Orc Nob choppa weapons. Luckily for me, another mate of mine has just openned a store.. LOL
