Hi all,

Just to let you know we are launching our new Crystal Games & Books games club 1 March in Long Eaton, Nottingham.

Held at The Stumble Inn we will have demo games of Kings Of War, Warpath and Dwarf Kings Hold as well as Brushfire by On The Lamb Games and Relics by Tor Gaming. While we don't want to say what people can or can't play, these systems will be the focus of the club. Only one table will be free for people to play 'other' systems and the only campaigns and tournaments we will hold will be for KOW, Warpath, Brushfire and Relics.

As well as gaming there will be a table set aside for people to paint or make some terrain and there will be a quiz or competition of some sort each week with a neat prize for the winner.

Starting at 5pm the night will run till 10pm each Thursday. The club is in a pretty decent sized Function room over the pub and so, yes, you can have a beer while you play - just take your empties down at the end of the night. We have also come to an agreement with Martin the landlord, who will provide food midway through the night if there are enough people. Nothing fancy, just some chips/chilli to snack on while you decimate your opponent.

Tickets to the club are either:

A) £2.50 each night
B) £8 for a months worth of tickets
C) £60 for a YEARS worth of tickets

We expect the first few nights to be fairly quiet but hopefully over time when word gets out about the club there should be a good selection of opponents. We will be running narrative/map based campaigns later in the year as well as painting competitions and more.

So please, spread the word and head over to the webstore to buy tickets. Numbers are limited to 30 each week. Should the unexpected happen and more people are wanting to join, we have sourced a larger premise but this would mean a slight increase to the ticket cost.

For now though, lets just get started at The Stumble Inn and see what happens.

Cheers for the support and we look forward to seeing you at the Crystal Games & Books gaming club. - JP

Now, go buy your tickets!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
We have just confirmed our first special guest for the launch night: author, games designer and all round top bloke Andy Hoare.

Just as a FYI, Crystal Games have also launched a mini comp:

Facebook Page wrote:COMPETITION TIME: As soon as we get 50 subscribers to our newsletter (first issue out 30 Jan) one lucky subscriber will win their choice of Brushfire Warband; Relics Starter Can or Kings Of War Warhost.

Sign up and win something! I am very enthusiastic about these chaps as anything that gets more Brushfire in the UK can only be a good thing!

As a further update, it seems Alessio Cavatore will also be at opening night on 1st March. On a related note, I wish I wasn't 300 mile round trip from Nottingham!
