New Kolony Rebels on the way
Hi all,
Exciting times here as we are starting to get the first master casts for new Kolony rebels. It's been ages since we did the rebels and it's been a pretty neglected range. From a design point of view there's loads of scope to expand this range and make it really exciting and versatile.
Here's a shot of some new heads. They are based on the rebels having a close fitting hood and separate respirators and eye protection. Some have the goggles over the eyes and some pushed up on the forehead. There are all sorts of different respirators to reflect the fact that they are an irregular force equipped with anything they can scavenge or steal.

Next week we'll be showing some of the bodies and painting up our first few samples.

Wow! these heads look great.

I was planning on placing an order to Pig iron sometime this month, but im definitely going to have to wait until these are released.

Huh. I'm impressed. I loved their original Kolony Rebels heads; specifically the gasmask wearing ones, over some of the slightly less detailed, and slightly pinheaded open faced respirator heads, but these new ones.... Well, I think I know I'll be picking some of these up.

I've just bought a bunch of their System Troopers to use as Gue've'sa; have to say they're very nice miniatures. Crisp, clean detail with very little mould lines that go together nice and easily.

The Kolony Rebels look ideal for any kind of irregular force *cough* cultists *cough*

Bought a mixed head pack from them. I love the system trooper sets, they work great on my scouts. Must admit, I was not so impressed with their human head sculpts. Defiantly worth getting though.

I've bought stacks of Pig Iron stuff and I can't speak highly enough of them. Very reasonably priced, and I think a great way to add some individuality to an army.

Interestimg, they are splitting the bodies into two parts.

I have some of the monopose ones, bit they are still cool.

wait so are they planing on selling these parts separately? cause if so that means we have some truly epic look tatty greatcoats showing up.

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

If Pig Iron are planning on doing this with all of their ranges that would be awesome.

Kolony Militia parts will sell like hot cakes.

These guys will be available at Salute and shortly afterwards on the web

Straight off the painting table is a full squad of Kolony rebels made from our new multi-part sprues.
Prices are £4.50 per sprue of 5 x legs or 5 x torsos or 20 x heads and all will be available separately. You can get them first at Salute this saturday and off the website soon after.
More images will be available soon.

These are nice minis.

One question - what's up with the sprues? Is that so you have ready-to-go texture for your bases?

What do you mean? I don't see anything wrong with the sprues.

I'm writing about all of the "blobs" placed irregularly down the length of the sprue.

They look like piles of rocks.

"Is that intentional" is my question.

I cant imagine it to be anything else really. If you want to use it as rocks, go ahead and do it. But I don't think it is deliberate.
