Inspired by the beautiful Grot Megatank, I came up with a concept of an entire army following the same theme of land-ships.

HQ -
Admiral McOrkthur (Big Mek), kff (85)
- Da Kruza (Mekboy Junka), 3 skorcha, deffrolla (65)

Elite -
3 Destroyaz (Grot Tanks), kommander, 4 grotzookas (145)
3 Submarinerz (Mega Nobz), 3 kombi-skorchas (135)
- Red Orktober (Battlewagon), rolla, riggers, planks, grabber, plates, kannon (145)

Troops -
10 Kruza Krew (boyz), Kaptain (nob), pk, bp (100)
19 Da Royal Marines (boyz), Kaptain, pk, bp (154)
19 US Marines Corks (boyz), Kaptain, pk, bp (154)
11 Port Krew (gretchin) (40)

Fast -
Bismork (Grot Mega Tank) 2 tl-rokkits, 3 rokkits (140)
Yamamorko (Grot Mega Tank) 2 tl-rokkits, 3 rokkits (140)

Heavy -
Ork Royal (Battlewagon), rolla, riggers, planks, grabber, plates, kannon (145)
Enta Prize (Battlewagon), rolla, riggers, planks, grabber, plates, kannon (145)
Da 'eavy Kruzaz (Big Trakk Squadron) (140)
- Da Hood, 2 big shoota, supa-skorcha, rolla
- Da Litorkio, 2 big shoota, supa-skorcha, rolla

1733pts

For those not familiar with FW items, a quick review is (all open-topped, tank, BS2 unless otherwise noted):

Mekboy Junka: AV11/11/10. Can be fast vehicle, but must take dangerous terrain, transport (10)
Grot Tanks: AV10/10/10, closed top, BS3, 2d6 movement (shoot everything), 5+ invulnerable
Grot Mega Tank: AV12/11/10, closed top, BS3, 2d6 movement (shoot everything), 5+ invulnerable
Big Trakk: AV12/11/10, transport (6), armour plates, supa-skorcha = S6, AP3

I actually think it looks pretty competitive. It threatens enemy armour with quite a lot of S8 shooting, with a total of 13 S8 capable weapons, 10 of them are even reliable at Bs3. In addition, the list has 6 deff rollas, one on a possibly fast vehicle, and planks and grabbing claws on all wagons for those pesky skimmers .
Anti-Infantry is handled by a generous amount of flamers and blasts. The mini-tanks have 8 S6 blasts. The Junka can be very dangerous with 3 skorchas if it is fast, the mega-nobs can play mini-burnawagon and the big trakks are deadly even to marines with 2xS6 AP3 flamers.

Boyz and meganobs can hopefully clean up the remains, while the gretchin hide and score.

What do you think? Will it work?

I'm more than familiar with IA8 =)

It should be fairly competitive. It's a bit lighter on infantry than I'd normally be at this point level.....but lots of vehicles. Only 2 BW's.....may not have enough. Btw....this many vehicles, I normally go for 2 KFF's to cover them all.

There's actually three battle wagons, two heavy and one with meganobz.

Grot tanks all have 5+ invulnerable save, so they are not as dependent on KFF. With this many tanks, it should also be possible to hide some behind the others. Can't see what to drop to get another KFF where it would pay off. Vehicle upgrades can give me some pts, but shaking up any more than 50ish will demand cutting something.

Oh, I know. Just saying it's what I noticed. As I recall, Rolling Scrap Pile is a 5+ invuln except to ordinance and destroyer. It's stil great, and hilarious, just not as effective. I'm not sure where I'd free up the points either, but this list should perform reasonably well.
