I came up with a list I think that it would be fun to field.
This is based on the AoBR set, so availability has to be considered since budget is a matter.

1000pts:

HQ 1:
Warboss with Power Klaw,Attack Squig,Bosspole, 'eavy Armour

Elites
5x Nob with Bosspole,Waaagh! Banner,2x Power Klaw,3x Big Choppa
Squad Transport
Battlewagon with Deff Rolla,2x Big Shoota

Troops

Troop 1:
Nob with Power Klaw,Bosspole
10x Boys (Warboss goes with these)
Squad Transport
Trukk with Reinforced Ram

Troop2:
Nob with Power Klaw,Bosspole
11x Boys with
Squad Transport
Trukk with Reinforced Ram

Troop 3:
Nob with Power Klaw,Bosspole
11x Boys with
Squad Transport
Trukk with Reinforced Ram

Fast Attack
3x Deffkoptas with 3x Twin-linked Rokkit Launcha

So that's a pretty completely mechanised list. This means i've to get me two more trukks, a boyz box, a boss box and a battlewagon. I think I'll be quite mobile and got 4 scoring units here.
I know that i should probably consider a BigMek with KFF, but I'd really like to field the Waaaghboss.

So, what do you think? Solid list or not?

It's a reasonable 1k list. You'd be better off either dropping 1 kopta and adding buzzsaws to the other two and running them as separate units, or replacing them with 3 x rokkit buggies.

Battlewagons would be stronger, but at 1k you can still get away with trukks.

I won't go for the buggies at this stage, because the koptas are what I already have from AoBR. I'd rather gear up on transports and troops before buying anything else.
But I like the idea of buzzsaws on the koptas. If i get it correct you get 3 Str 8 PK Attacks on the Charge with those?
If i dropped one kopta and the bosspole for the Waahgboss, which I figured is redundant in this list, I could fit the two remaining ones with buzzsaws. Nice, I think I'd go with that.

In the unit with the warboss, you have two bosspoles. You could drop the nob's bosspole, as it is redundant. Use the points for a cyberork body for your warboss. An invul save, no matter how bad, is still an invul save.

This is almost exactly my 1k ork list. I would recommend two changes to consider.

1. The three koptas to two with buzz saws. Use them to get first turn charges on vehicles or (sometimes) small units with low cc ability but lots of shooting (eg devastators).

2. Try a few games with a big mek and kff instead of the warboss, if your opponents are fielding shooty armies.

Have fun! The list works very well at that level of points.

If you want cheap just field a number of 30 boy squads.
So maybe even 3 boxes of AoBR with nob box set for the extra weapons.
Then run koptas as antitank. Maybe add some lootas if you want. Maybe add a kff or even Ghaz if you do not like 2 warbosses as HQs.

Then model yourself rocket buggies and battlewagons using what ever toy stores have and with GW spare parts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it work out better if the Nob had the BP instead of the warboss in the boyz mob so the BP can't be singled out in CC?

Yes by far the is the best choice.
I would try and field the deffkoptas in a unit of one and try to fit a buzsaw on each that's three koptas running around killing transports if the rokkits don't get them the buzzsaw will.

Its about as solid as you can get from the AoBR set. As much as you like your warboss Mek with KFF has to be the better choice for this list, giving all vehicles a 4+ cover save is awesome especially for trucks.

I originally wanted to run trucks in my list but they got too easily popped, so i went for 2 battlewagons. I think having your warboss and 5 nobs in a battlewagon is a bit of a waste. Id rather have 19 boys with a nob and pk in the battlewagon as they will krump more stuff. This also means you can combine two squads and put them in 1 wagon. This means you dont have to buy as many trucks which will become redundant in bigger points games. The points you save you could put in a few lootas for some support.

Just for another list example this is my 1000pt list:

Big mekk KFF - 85pts

18 boys, 1 nob with PK, BP - 154pts
19 boys, 1 nob with PK, BP - 160pts

Looted Wagon - boomgun - 105pts

battlewagon - DR, RPJ, BS - 120pts
battlewagon - DR, RPJ, BS - 120pts

9 Lootas - 180pts

2x Rockit buggies - 70pts

Total 999pts

Hope something here helps you lol.

Thanks for all the input. I think I will go through my options again. Unfortunately I have to build around what I have.
But there are some things I think I will try to put in my list.

As mentioned I'm on a budget here.
Here's what I already got:
- complete AoBR (5 nobs slugga/choppa, 20 boyz slugga with 2big shootas, warboss, 3 killakoptas with rokkits)
- 1 boys box
- 1 trukk
- 1 box of lootas/burnas (couldn't resist the shiny dakka)
