We are planning an Apocalypse game at our local FLGS and there seems to be some contention over whether we set a star and end time or if we should allow 45 minutes per team per turn. Total team points will be around 25K. Imperium vs. Xenos. Please comment on your experiences and preferences. We would like to hear from the community at large to help settle this.

Thanks in Advance...

I like 45 minutes a turn: 15 minutes to move, 15 minutes to shoot and 15 minutes to assault. Doesn't sound too bad to me.

Splitting it like that would be a little unfair on certain armies. Orks for example could need 25mins to move but only 5mins to shoot.

I'd just stick to the standard Apoc system - set an end time then finish off the current game turn you're up to once you reach it.

When I used to play in some big Apoc games we did something like 15 minutes to move, 30 to shoot and unlimited assault. Also people and separate ends of the table didn't have to wait for people to finish to move on the next phase.
