Hey all,

Just noticed that whenever I view a link with a pic from heresy-online, I get a massive amount of warnings from ESET, and I'm blocked from visiting the site directly due to potentially dangerous content, again, from my virus protection. Can anyone shed some light on this?

My ESET is also lit up like a christmas tree. But then again, could hardly have happened to a more deserving site.

From my experience it has happened on various occasions over the years.

As far as I know, before it has always been some dodgy link in someone's avatar/signature or some such like, that for some reason comes up as flagged on virus checkers - even though really there is no danger at all from looking at the site.

Corrupted? I would recommend Exterminatus.

yes my NOD anti-virus won't let me see my adoptables for quite some time. wonder what's going on.

Spammers and hackers hit the site a few weeks back and its getting a big upgrade

I'm on my phone so no bookmark for heresy. Google brought up this thread so I used my old account to let you guys no what's going on. Simple.

We know what it is.

Anytime that Heresy Online gets "hit" by hackers/spammers, the little Adoptables spam crap that gets spread like a disease to other forums gets infected and then has to be removed from posts one by one.

Most recently, it has been because for whatever reason the Heresy Online people closed their site for maintenance/whatever the hell they're doing and anytime you entered a thread where someone's Adoptable was in their signature you got prompted for a Username/Password.

So yeah. Could not have happened to a more deserving site.
