If so, how did they do???? Did Balefire work well????

Saw it table an ork player yesterday turn 4, so it can't have been that bad.

Though the ork didn't have any flyers of his own, so... YMMV I suppose.

I played my daemon list against it, I'm not using the new traditional screamer/flamer list though.

I'm using 5 FMC's with 2 squads of flamers and some PB's

The player had the right idea, but he couldnt stop the ball of death.

My opponent wasn't too happy when 2/3 were shot out of the sky when my Vendettas came on the table. The last one spent most of its time hiding from their lascannons. It was pretty funny.

My Quadcannon did nothing to them though, I'm really considering just leaving that out my list, it only ever damages 'cronair, but there's way too many of them for a couple of HP to even matter.

I played against drakes only two times . First time my vendetas came in second , so they died. The other time , one drake came in second lost 2 hull points to my aegis , tried to vector my vendetta but str 7 bounce of its hull . second turn the quad and the 2 vendeta killed it , second drake came in glanced a vendeta to death , second 2xvendeta unit came it took it down .

they seem to be very fragile to me .

The drakes get but one attempt to use their flamer against someone with the right tools. Even people without skyfire can handle them no problem.

Given you HAVE to hold them in reserve, as they are fliers - yes.

They are awesome. I watched a 3x Helldrake list table a Coteaz list with relative ease.

16 Psycannon shots + 3 Psyriflemen dreads firing at a single Helldrake failed to even score a glance on one turn.

You absolutely have to have anti-air now, as 3 S6 AP3 torrent flamers can do massive damage very quickly.

I thought you only have to hold them in reserve if you used the flyer rules....They can't do the normal 12 inch move etc anymore?

They can, but Fliers must start in reserve. After they're on the table you can switch to Hover (maybe as you come on from reserve, don't remember).

Given the relative fragility of most fliers, starting in reserve is a good thing anyway
