I've recently come up with the idea of mounting some heavier weapons on to sentinels, and a good place to start would be mounting a punisher cannon onto a sentinel. here's the basic stats:
Glasgow pattern Sentinel WS=3, BS=3, S=5, Front=12, Side=10, Rear=10, I=3, A=1
cost: 100 points per model
composition: 1 Gloucester pattern sentinel
unit type: vehicle (walker)
wargear: punisher cannon, extra armor, smoke launcher
options: may be equipped with any of the following: searchlight for +1 point, hunter killer missile for +10 points
so what's everyone's opinions on this variant?

I just got one question, where do they put the ammo ?
On a sidenote, ever saw that the Land Raider has only 10 transport capacity due to the huge size of the generators for the 2 TL-LC ... while Imperial Guard jury-riggers simply put a bunch of taped lasgun batteries in their Vendettas for triple TL-LC luvin' !

Seems over the top. A good idea of this would just be an Armoured Sentinel that can pack a second weapon, such as two Autocannons or Missile Launchers.

What I wanted to make with this pattern was a unit that if it strikes first will pulp infantry, but if they get the first hit in it's toast. It's game theory really. Also the ammo goes in a drum mounted under the power plant, and a while ago I made a pattern that had three extra weapons: the jottun pattern sentinel. Sorry I can't say more but I'm on my phone in an airport right now and I don't have a lot of time.

The punisher cannon is stupidly oversized for a sentinel frame. The recoil on those chicken legs would knock the sentinel to the ground. The ammo drum alone is way oversized for the sentinel.
So, in summary, it's perfect for the IG.
