Which army has the most shenanigans?

By this, I mean they leave your opponent confused and have wack abilities that make them doube-take.

Also, which army do you think has the best / most fun special characters?

Please leave examples and explain why.

Orks, red paint makes their vehicles faster, their looted tanks randomly move if they hit the wrong button, and they have a gun that has a chance of teleporting is shooter across the map. The list goes on with them.

I like imotekhs ability to create nightfighting for pretty much all of the game.

the lightning on top (each unit roll, hit on a 6) is just awesome (and a great force multiplier)

^This.

Every named character in the necron codex has some kind of gimmicky special rule as well as like half of the regular units.

Orks may not have as many tricky rules but the ones they have are more lol-worthy for both sides.

While Orks easily take the top prize, I think a special shout-out goes to Daemons as well namely for;

a) The Blue Scribes of Tzeentch.
One can only ever write down spells, while the other can only ever read spells. This leads to near constant bikering & arguments as the two little blue horrors, (P'tarix & X'iratp), can never agree on anything!
They even have a special rule called "Watch This!" to represent their constant bickering! After you fire their first power, you have to roll to see if you can then use a second ability or else be forced to use the original power again!

b) The Changeling.
Basically he has his nifty little "Go-go Gaget!" ability that can force an enemy unit to open fire upon their friends!
It gets really fun when something like Pask's Punisher or 4x Plasma Cannon Devies fail their Ld test!

Ork special characters are nothing extraordinary. Despite looks and fluff, their abilities are actually quite mundane. It's one of the few aspects where the codex really shows its age :(

For gimmickry, dirty tricks and crazy combos, check Necrons.

I am going to put a vote in for GK henchmen.

While the rules are not that crazy, there is a lot going on in a single unit.

"So wait, these long range shooty guys, and these MSU shooty guys, and this combat deathstar are all troops"
"Actually they are all the same troops unit"

Also inquisitors get a lot of interesting options for wargear as well.

Sisters and faith, Especially when you get Celestine, faith, and 2 dual flamers, dropping 5 templates with rerolls. I get a lot looks of OP when that happens.

GK, but not in the fun way.

They can fire magic bullets that dont need line of sight on the enemy. They can double cast a power that makes them stronger, and thats just striking the surface of their shinanigans.

There is only the Emperor! He is our shield and protector.

Since I'm the only sisters player no one is used to Seraphim shenanigans. Space marine players usually cry OP the most at my exorcist and serephim,

Yea, I get people calling my Sisters OP all the time - after they play them. It's part that they expected them to be so easy, part unfamiliarity with the rules, and part that Sisters are a much better army than most people are aware of.

Necrons. Almost every game with them, I have to stop and be like "Really? That's actually in your book? Can I see that?" Then I look at it and I'm just blown away that they can actually DO whatever craziness they just pulled. The army isn't unbalanced or anything, it's just that the powerhouse abilities they have are really outside the norm.

Sisters are a solid list in 6th. Its just that no one ever knows this, so they get underestimated.
