I've always found the Badab War the most interesting piece of fluff, and while this thread probably already exists, I'd love to see what everybody's opinion is now. So, what is your favourite army/force involved in the campaign and why? I think I have listed all of them in the pole, no doubt there is some small one I missed (Hence the 'other' option)

Personally I'm split between the Space Sharks, the Minotaurs, and the Salamanders.

Space Sharks, because they look so dang awesome.

Minotaurs because they too look amazing (and my horoscope is Taurus )

Salamanders as I will always have a place in my heart for flaming infernos and anvils.

Funny you should say that... Almost all of the armies involved were prone to being angry and ruthless, much unlike they should be (as astares).

Why are the Raptors not on your list for the poll? They are my Favorite of course.

Carcharodons Astra and/ or Battlefleet Solar. Tyberios "Chainfist-claws" the Red Wake is one angry mother trucker. Battlefleet Solar is the Battlefleet keeping the Sol System safe, one would assume that they're simply the best around.

the Carcharadons, if for no other eason the the Red Wake is such a bad ass. Any man who can put a chainfist on a lightning claw is ok in my book.

I voted for the Salamanders, but there's some stiff competition. Despite all the invective aimed his way, CS Goto delivered a pretty compelling narrative in The Trial of the Mantis Warriors, giving them a pretty special place in my heart. The Space Sharks are sweet, too. I always liked the idea of knights-in-space that surrounds the Space Marines, and it's enjoyable to see at least one chapter embodying nothing but the worst aspects of warrior nobility throughout history.

Salamanders out of all of them,but I have a bit of a liking for the Mantis Warriors fluff - I thought the way they came out of hiding to stop the Space Sharks massacring the civilians on their worlds, despite being totally outmatched (and indeed despite that being the Sharks' intention all along), was pretty admirable.

Astral Claws hands down every time. I love their belief in themselves and their cause even to the bitter end, the way they always look like they're on the edge of violence, not just balls out crazy like half the loyalist chapters, and how their colour scheme makes them look like noble and chivalric knights, when beneath this thin veneer they are actually arrogant sociopaths. So much cooler than spiky chaos evil.

And Huron. Huron is without a doubt my favourite character in the setting.

I voted Tyrant's Legion, but I also like the Astral Claws, and my SM army are Red Scorpions.

The correct answer is Minotaurs... Raptors are often allowed as a poor second, and sometimes Red Scorpions is acceptable

I vote Fire Hawks because I have a full 2,000pt Legion of the Damned army from back in late 3rd edition (Chapter Approved; Cursed Foundings rules).

Raptors with Carcharodons as a close second.

Tie between Executioners and Mantis Warriors
