So a friend of mine got me a Sword Brethren Squad and a High Marshal Helbrecht.
I've primed all the models and to my surprise the GW Imperial primer doesn't go on the same as compared to painting a tactical squad.
It's all like, blobby and there are parts where the primer slide down and just... well, stick together or something. Like rain on a glass panel kinda thing.
So my question is... how do I prime these?

Did you wash them to get off the mould release?

Yeah soak them in some soapy water and give em a nice scrub with a toothbrush and that should help.

So, I also basically just figured out that I should wash my finecast models before I prime them. I haven't primed the model in question yet, but I HAVE assembled it and applied some green stuff. I still want to wash it, but I'm concerned that it will come apart. Maybe that's no big deal, but if it comes apart then the green stuff will have issues... or will that stuff just wash off as well, even if it's dried?

It's always best to wash prior to assembly and priming, however if you've already assembled the model and used GS on it (and allowed it to cure fully) then washing it *should not* be a problem. Just be gentle with it when washing!

I use Halfords primer on all my models and it is just as brilliant on finescast, not sure if you can get Halfords primer so my advice is probably useless lol

Wash them. They are basically resin models and those need to be washed.

Seems like the general consensus is to soak the model in soapy water and then brush them down.
Will do that when I get my Chappy and my Captain. Thanks for the advice guys!
