Happy We Found Our Primarch

6 feet under the ground

I recently heard that Forge World are doing the primarchs that were at Isstvan 3 first. That means Rogal Dorn will be a while. The next one they are working on is Fulgrim. What primarch are you looking forward to?

All of them.

Mortarion could look awesome though, as will Horus if Abaddon is anything to go by.

Honestly though, all of them. Could be really interesting to see what they do with someone like Ferrus or Vulkan who have had little in the way of imagery so far. Alpharius/Omegon and Sanguinius (although Resin wings) could be really neat.

I fear for there being a few duff Primarchs, but honestly, I have faith that the vast majority will be great, particularly if Angron is anything to go by.

I'm actually a little worried about how they'll do some of the more 'plain' Primarchs like Guilliman and Dorn. The Primarchs more well known for being fighters like Angron will undoubtedly look awesome, but those better known as the Generals, that's where FW are going to have their biggest challenge.

I'm anxious to see how they do Dorn. As has been said, the more fighty, action-packed Primarchs will be a breeze to make look epic.

I'm hoping they can capture the grand, fantastic feel of Dorn as a Primarch while still having him appear like the calculating tactician that he is.

Dorn ...Because Stephen Lang needs a miniatures. =)

It'd be interesting if they'll be making rules for non astartes characters like the Mechanicus leaders or even say Ollanius Pious (though I doubt it). The Emperor will probably be getting a model too come to think of it (seeing as they'll be doing the siege of the Imperial Palace). Nice to see an alternative early Crusade version of him in his rather plain looking white power armour. ...Looked rather human like that.

Horus. Because Horus. Hopefully he won't look like an absolute maniac.

Considering how they say Corax fought, I'm most looking forward to him, though Sanguinius is my favored of the primarchs. I'd love to see how they model Corax using his jump' packs' bladed wings in combat should make for an amazing and dynamic model.

I think Dorn may be the toughest to look interesting, but Guilliman shouldn't be that bad if they make him look ANYTHING like the cover of Know No Fear.

They have said they'd be doing a model of the Emperor. Potentially multiple versions of him and Horus IIRC.

I am interested to see if they go for his Prospero appearance (A one-eyed, copper-skinned giant), or his post-Prospero appearance (An entity of pure Immaterium, forsaking his physical shell).

I'd really like to see Vulkan, Gulliman, Dorn, Khan, Horus, Night Haunter, Alpharius, and Ferrus Manus.

I'm ambivalent in regards to Mortarion, Perturabo, Corax, Russ, and Sanguinius.

When it comes to Fulgrim, the Lion, Magnus, and Lorgar, I'd just as soon Forgeworld do something else instead.

Im most looking forward to Vulkan.

Dorn could actually be very easy to look interesting, maybe not in a badass way but I could see them just having his model being more of a commanding pose. Not all of them have to be like Angron charging through enemies. Id prefer to see them portrayed more fitting as to how they actually commanded and fought.

Model-wise, probably Mortarion. Rules-wise, definitely Magnus. Several hundred points of pure psychic badass? Yes please.

I just want Ferrus Manus so I can magnetize his head.

But having him, Corax, and Vulcan would be pretty epic.

Russ. Race bias. But he is the primarch of a fiercly independent chapter, so there'll probably be a lot of... uniqueness about him.

To be fair I want to see Sanguinius too, and the Emperor. With any luck they'll design them to fit the images in the final Battle Artwork.

They should make both and see how many people buy a 60 pound scenic base

Model-wise, Mortarion (and rule-wise but those are known already), Dorn, Vulkan, Kurze, and big E. What I really want is models of the first captains (i.e. Sigismund mainly, but also Sevatar) and other legion characters in the books

None of them.

They're better as mythical, inhuman figures than they are pathetic, whiny characters.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Is this really the place to start this argument?

On topic, I totally agree with whoever said the first captains. Pre-Heresy Ahriman! Also excited for the Primarch bodyguards and special Legion units, like the Deathshroud and Justaerin we got. The Morlocks are going to look sick!

Think they're gonna put Khan on a bike?

Do any of you think that Alpharius/Omegon should look like normal astarte?
They are suposed to be small enough to pass for a rather large but still normal legionnaire.
Would be accurate yet not very epic...
