Subject: Tau Stealth Suits joined by a Farseer?

I currently play Tau and recently picked up an Eldar Farseer on Ebay which I want to incorporate into my army for the Divination physic powers.
How effective would a 7 man stealth suit team joined by a Farseer be? Can divination target the unit the Farseer has joined?
My thinking is that the BC's put out 21 shots at a BS of 4 with TA's. The Farseer allows me to re-roll to hit and if I am lucky I may even be able to force the enemy to re-roll saves.
Still very new to Warhammer so I am not 100% sure if this is legal or effective so guidance would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that 6 is the maximum squad size for stealth suits. Also attaching the farseer to the unit would slow it down something chronic and in my view you are better off buying more battlesuits, rather than buying the rather expensive targetting array upgrades.
You are correct though, that the 6th edition powers can be used across Battle Brothers allied units.

Eldar FS with divination can target allied tau so yes it could be used
The stock eldar powers like fortune cannot be used.

Using the powers from Divination, it's fine.
The reason you might have heard of it not working are that if the Farseer uses the powers from the Eldar Codex instead of the rulebook then the blessings have the added restriction of only being able to target Eldar units.
As for effectiveness, I've no idea sorry.

The inclusion of a Farseer seems like a good move and by itself it can buff my HH and suits. I was just hoping I could make the most of my stealth suits as with the re-rolls and infiltration they could be devastating with the number of shots they put out!

Tau stealth suits are not worth the points. Just use those points and get more crisis suits.
I also play the Tau/Eldar way and it can be very useful. I use the farseer with Eldar Pathfinders and they control 24inch bubble all game.

The stealthsuits alone would be 240 points for 18 S5 shots. Even with the fusion blaster it would be a terrible waste of points.
But my friend has been using elite suits, with an attached HQ suit, and a farseer on a jetbike. Gets him 4 sets of twinlinked plasma and missilepods. That comes to 276 points in suits but you get +1 T, +2W, +6" range minimum, +1S/+2S weapons with AP2/4.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."
"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."
