I've been looking for stuff like this for a long time, and I've seen a lot of other people with the same question. The problem is that all the reproduction WWII uniforms are "replicas" that are extremely high quality and exactly like the originals, and as a result cost an enormous amount of money.

There's one place that offers them for relatively cheap:

You have to read the descriptions though, you don't get the entire uniform in the picture for $80. It's still a great price for a shirt and pants, not much more than clothes at an outdoors store. Plus it comes with a few accessories most of the time. If you just need a casual costume, $20 black rubber rainboots at Walmart will work fine; I considered them once for a Red Army uniform I put together for Halloween.

If anyone knows any other good cheap sources, please share.

Those uniforms look dodgy, good sir. The site in general is dodgy. They advertise the "M69" uniform as being of WW2 manufacture... the belts are either fantasy items or of post war construction.

There are plenty of sites for good reproduction soviet uniforms that cost a bit more but are well worth it if you want to look the part.

However, if you just want to put together a cheap commie suit for Halloween then go ahead and go to soviet power.

Here is a link to a WW2 Soviet reenactors site. I can personally attest to their authenticity! The link goes to their uniform section so you know just what to wear.

You could always get a friend who is good at sewing for you and find a pattern that you need.

Or that. Soviet uniforms aren't exactly complicated.

Yeah, I once bought a cheap Russian gasmask off Amazon and the seller was calling it "WWII gasmask" when it had a NATO filter. The website I looked up looked a bit cheap, but for a cheap costume that might have to be modified for 40k, it wouldn't be bad. The first link you gave looks good. Slightly more expensive but the quality looks great. I already did the Red Army costume, but it might be fun to do really well. Also, even without direct modifications to the clothing, good uniforms could be used as part of a 40k costume. Hopefully the second site will get a domain, they're only $10-12 per year.

I'm pretty sure you could find some patterns online for free, someone you know who can make clothes, and some materials that are close enough. Including paying your friend to make them you could probably get the uniforms for much cheaper than buying them elsewhere.

You don't need them to look exactly like the originals, you are going to be 40king them up so it should be fine.
